UPDATED: MAR 16, 2005 9/30/03: On tap. Color is medium reddish-amber but crystal clear---the head is light with just speckles of lace...Aroma is relatively light but a nice blend of malt and hops...The flavor is fairly mild, but with a distinct hoppy bias, most notable in the finish...Body is just a tad on the light side of moderate, but still quite adequate, and this had a good lively mouthfeel...overall, this is quite flavorful but still a restrained effort--a decent offering....03/15/05: Bottled. Doesn’t taste like the same brew...The one improvement was the massive head produced by this brew, but the flavor seemed somewhat unrefined, as if bottled while still a little green. The aroma is slightly yeasty and the hop aroma grassy...Malt is quite caramelly and the hops come through OK, but the elements seem out of harmony. I’ll refrain from demoting this from my original scores until I have this stuff again, based on a quite decent glass of this I had at the brewhouse.

An amber color and a tan head. The aroma is of hops and malt. A really good hop aroma. The flavor has hops and malt that is in great balance. I could have had a bit more bitter...you know...for a bitter.

Mild biter aroma. Orange/red color. Kind of skunky. Came of quite mild for an ESB.

Medium red copper color. Medium head. Aroma is malty with a touch of fruit. A medium bodied ESB. Malts are slightly nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are spicy and somewhat bitter. Nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Light brown, beige head. Good carmel malt and hop nose. Well hopped for the style with lots of balancing malt
