Pours ruddy brown with a TON of sediment. So much so that between that, and the rancid flavor, there had to be something wrong here. I could barely drink one sip of this before pouring it out. I hope to come accross this again and try to see if the first one was bad. Until I do, my rating will have to stand.

22 oz. bottle, pours amber orange with almost no head. Aroma of caramel, raisins and slight hops. Flavour brings out more of the hops than the nose suggests, with caramel, toffee and dark dried fruits - high sweetness profile. Very nice.

Beer pours slightly cloudy amber color with a modestly retained beige colored head. Aroma is rich, sweet malt, brown sugar, oak, rum soaked raisins, and alcohol. Flavor is thick with lots of dark fruit, some very nice oak flavor, though not too much. Palate is very creamy and thick. Some port flavors as well. Not sure home many vintages there have been, but this is above average stuff.

22oz bottle. Poured a deeper and cloudy amberish/brownish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, dark fruits, cherries, some lighter floralness, and some nuts. Tastes of dark fruits, toffee, caramel, lighter citrus, and nuts. Alcohol content hidden.

Bomber from Whidbey Beer Works. Pours dark amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma is like berry fruit over roasted malt. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Within limits it is like a Flemish ale that’s just missed being sour. It’s pretty dry, though there is a sweet hint, and it’s hinting at having kissed some oak. Though it hasn’t. It’s a pretty good beer, but it’s almost like it pretends to greatness. Didn’t make it that far. Like it.

poured cloudy brown, almost the color of a grocery bag, a little fit of fizzy carbonation. flavor was sweet, but you could definitey feel the lean towards the hoppy side of the BW spectrum. the aftertaste was unpleasant, very bitter...i was waiting for the sweetness of the malts to kick in, but they never did.

22 oz bottle, via 5000. Pours a clear reddish copper body with a one inch fizzy light beige head that fell to a thin covering. The nose is dominated by heavy caramel malt with a moderate piney and resiny hoppiness. Quite a hoppy beast, this is certainly an American Barley Wine. Moderate piney and resiny hoppiness with a fairly restrained bitterness level. Finishes with a hefty dose of burnt caramel and some lingering resiny hops. Pretty well hidden alcohol for being 9.2% though. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bit of an almost course graininess to it, rather abrupt finish. Pleasant soft fine fizzy carbonation. Overall this was decent, very hoppy for the style, if it would have had a bit more crystal malt in the flavor it would almost qualify as a DIPA. Finished a bottle easy enough, so I can’t complain too much.

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing! Pours a dark brownish-red with an off-white ring. Sharp aroma, of pine hops, grass, wood, and hints of sweeter malt and caramel. Taste is quite sharp and bitter, lots of pine hops, with hints of grass, citrus, and malt. Lingering bitterness. Tasty.

Bomber from Scrizz, shared with dalekliz at her place. Porus orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet and clearly hopped up. Taste is sweet and hoppy, much more like a DIPA to me than a Barleywine, definetly cuts along that mid line.

Pours deep murky copper brown with thin tan head. The aroma is raisins, prunes, a bit of pine hops and some molasses. Smells nice. The taste has more hops than the nose hinted at. It seems to start with raisins, prunes and super ripe cherries. Quickly solid pine hops and resin goodness surface and take hold of the flavor. It gets a bit crystal malt like toward the finish. Enjoyable product.

courtesy of ibrew2or3. Pours brown - orange with beige head. Aroma of caramel malts with floral hops. Taste, plenty of caramel, barley and malts. Grainy with a light bitter finish. Thick mouthfeel.
