2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver; 6.3% ABV
Dark brown color, close to black, with beige head. Not too dry, but definitively they had a heavy hand with roasty ashy malts; and it’s wisely spiked with diacetyl; nuts, dark caramel, blah blah.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A very dark brown beer with beige head. Nose is very faint..of nothing in particular. Pleasant taste if one is partial to traditional brown ales, else not much of interest here. 3.2.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at St Augustine’s, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is subtle, with toasted malt. Flavour brings out metallic toasted malt notes and an unpleasant astringency on the finish. Four beers by Snipes Mountain tonight that’ve seemed off - something is wrong here. This isn’t good.
