scrizzz (986), kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 22, 2009 Nearly completely clear bright gold, tall very creamy head, full lacing. Lively fruity esters over crystal malt. Dry crackermeal and a light floral hop kick in the finish. Dry throughout in fact. The spicy hops build in intensity as I drink it. hayduke (1471), Eureka, California, USA Apr 15, 2009 Color is gold with a lot of haze, white head, and good lacing. Nose of caramel malts and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel but very smooth. Flavor is strongly dominated by hops which are citrus this time. Finish is dry and lightly bitter. A very good and highly drinkable APA. alexanderj (1972), San Diego, California, USA Apr 5, 2009 On tap at Tap House Grill. Color was a dull, slightly hazy gold. Aroma of fruits, apples, bread with a hint of flowers. Flavor was nice and drkinable. Bready, apple, with flowers in the finish. Pretty dry overally. Solid. Headbanger (1356), Aurora, Illinois, USA Mar 6, 2009 Updated: Mar 8, 200922oz bottle 3/6/09 (Tukwila Trading Company)-Pours a hazy yellowish/golden with a nice tight white head. It emits an aroma of hops and malt. The taste begins with hops and malt then it gets followed by the same along with some dryness. This medium bodied brew is very well balanced and quite tasty. jigglyjock (158), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Feb 23, 2009 Good, balanced pale ale with a great looking dark orange body, malty, hoppy aroma, and thick mouthfeel. Beardface (772), Eugene, Oregon, USA Feb 5, 2009 Pours a bright golden hue with a yellowish small head and a ton and a half of sediment. For some reason I get way more sediment from SF than I do from any other brewery, not sure why. Moderate caramel and grapefruit flavor with a little bit more oomph to the aroma than the flavor but the same characteristics. An okay brew, but nothing I really ever need to drink again. Bradrcr (747), Renton, Washington, USA Dec 1, 2008 9/26/08 From the bottle. Aroma is caramel sweetness forward with a strongly bitter hop background. Appearance is clear yellow gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is tangy citrus forward, followed by sweetness, but not well balanced. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a low carb texture and starchy background. Overall, just a little tough to drink. While not a huge flaw in general, the starchy note really affects this brew. Angeloregon (2023), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 24, 2008 On tap at Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon--Golden-amber body brew with a medium healthy-looking whitish head. Fluffy, even-tempered brew. Nice balance of malts and hops. Light and caramel citrus hopped body. Nice level of bitterness. Delicious summer beer!
