COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Reddish-orange color, reminiscent of a turning leaf, mellow malt aromas and flavors, soft and medium bodied, Brewmaster Rande Reed has created this German-style Festbier to ease the way from lazy summer days into the more bracing days of autumn! Highly kilned Munich malt, German Tettnanger hops, cold fermentation, and long, cold aging yield unrivalled smoothness and flavors not found in ordinary beers. Exceptionally clean and satisfying, Harvest Moon is a perfect complement for sauerkraut and wurst or wild boar - or enjoy a stein all by itself!

Bottle. Pours an amber brown with big off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts and spices. Flavor is much the same. Very smooth, I could drink a lot of these.

Clear amber orange, thin beige head. Aroma of buttery dough, toast, nutty malt. Taste of sweet fruit, burnt bitterness.

Pint (or two) @ 74th St. Ale House. Part of their Oktoberfest lineup. Much tastier than the Alpine I had right before it. Big and malty marzen perfect for the season. Only issue is that it looked a little muddy, but damn tasty.

Pours a lovely orange brown with a moderate white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, with caramel and biscuit present. flavor is sweet toasty malt with a crisp, mildly bitter hop finish. Pretty good, but it feels a little lacking next to other beers of this style I’ve had recently.

I always get excited when I see this show up in the supermarket. It usually means the leaves outside are turning, the wind is blowing, and 180 straight days of rain have begun in Seattle. Malty, toasty, sweet with a medium body. Easy-drinking and not too filling, this Oktoberfest-style Marzen has a touch of sweet and smooth malt richness fairly well balanced with neutral noble hops. A little fruity for a Marzenbier, must have something to do with their lager yeast strain. Considering that it’s Snoqualmie’s only lager-style beer, this is a very fine showing indeed.

Thanks to SuzyGreenberg. Malty and sweet Marzen. Lots of caramel. Fruity taste lingers. Very nice and good take on the style.

Great fruity malty aroma. All three beers I’ve had from these guys I said that.. Nice locck. Flavor is fairly malty but good. Certainly one of the better marzen’s I’ve had.
