dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Sep 30, 2009 Same as snakeoilpete, this just says amber at Safeco field. Malty but some good floral hops in the aroma as well. This is quite nice. Floral, fruity, maltus up front, hops later, this is quite nice. I may have given this a higher score than the IPA. Schroppfy (1810), Ohio, USA Aug 30, 2002 Rerate 6/24/02: Added .3 to the overall, with the following additions: This is Perfectly balanced, as in the name. Flavor components include a bit of lemony tartness, and a nice mellowing hay-like yeastiness in aroma and flavor. Big chunks of yeast float about in this positively orangey brew. Wonderful. Original: 5/08/02: Very refreshing. Malty aroma, nice and deep. A light colored amber, to be sure. Unlike some Califormia ambers (and copying wannabes), this one strives for a nice chilled balance. Nice hearty body for the style. Look in the dictionary under ’Session Ale’ and you’ll see it’s picture. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Aug 16, 2007 Amber body, thin white head. Aroma is malty with pale malts, and caramel. taste is a smooth maltiness, simple but an awesome session beer. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jan 10, 2008 On tap at at Summit Public House. Pours lightly hazy amber with a thin white head. Citrus and caramel aroma. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Some caramel and nutty qualities to the taste. Crisp finish. Super sessionable. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Oct 19, 2007 22 oz. bottle purchased at the brewery. Clear amber color with a thin off white head. Light smell is of grains and grassy hops. Light to medium bodied with a crisp texture. A very clean, crisp taste is of lightly sweet roasted malts with a lightly bitter grassy hop flavor to finish. July 2005

bhensonb (4186), Woodland, California, USA Apr 20, 2008 Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Aroma sort of cat p--- over caramel. That’s not a bad thing. Beige head over amber beer. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is rather malty with not quite enough hop to balance the sweet. But it’s not that simple. The malt is ever present, but there’s enough subtle hop to make it palatable. Probably one of the best ambers ever, from a hop head point of view. It’s not overly hoppy, it’s just that the balance is wonderful. This may be the first amber that is well balanced (that I’ve had). Finish is mellow and balanced. Great beer. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Oct 4, 2003 Amber gold color. HUGE foamy white head. It takes several minutes to diminish enough to even attempt to drink. Aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of hoppyness. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are mild but definitely grapefruity and piney. Nicely balanced. Light and refreshing. It really more of a Pale Ale than an amber or some what of a cross between the two. There are also touches of citrus and fruit that appear about halfway through. Very lively carbonation throughout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
