COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wilder Wildcat. 20% more malt and twice as much hops. We’ve also added Cascades to ride along-side the Wildcat’s normal Columbus hops. For Cask Fest, we’ve dry-hopped the Powerhouse with even more Cascades!

Nice thick, pillowy, creamy, lingering head. Sharp initial piney hops. Pleasantly malty, but not proportional to the hops. Not as balanced as Wildcat. Pricier too. And in exchange, maybe 1% more alcohol? I guess I don’t see the point... this is a nice IPA, but Wildcat is already super solid. If you want to do a imperial, add some more malt to this and get up to 9% or so...

Bottled: Unk A: Pours an amber ale with excellent clarity and a finger of peanut head has meringue quality. This falls over several minutes to a sheet of the same. Cobweb lacing. S: Some mango, peaches, resin and pine. Nice sweet biscuit malts with some underlying grain tones. The slightest hint of alcohol. Nice. T: Bitter, sweet, resin and citric rinds are very prominent. There is some alcohol again here. The beer is little off balanced with too much bitterness in your face without more flavor and finishing hops to help polish this beer. Good, but could use a little adjustment. M: Medium bodied with moderate carb. Long and slick finish. O: This is a decent offering from Snoqualmie. It’s got a bit more action than the Wildcat IPA they offer year-round. There could be a bit more depth to the hop schedule and diversity. Although I wouldn’t turn this beer away, I wouldn’t be likely to pick up another bottle right away. Serving type: bottle 07-19-2011

Cloudy yellow, big thick head. Tons of lacing. Sweet citrus nose. Pine straw, malt and sweetness are the flavours. Ok IPA.

650ml bottle pours a golden orangeish color with 2 fingers of creamy white head which leaves a healthy lacing behind. Aroma is citrusy and earthy hops. Taste is citrusy and earthy hop bitterness balanced nicely with a light malty sweetness. Medium body and nice carbonation leave a nice feel on the tongue. A pleasing IPA which was a treat to have tasted.

22 ounce bottle pours a hazy golden yellow. Aromas of floral hops, grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Taste follows aroma, and overall a decent ipa.

Settles as a golden haze topped with a most impressive frothy white head that recedes into a rocky quarter inch with craggy lacing. I’m smitten with it until putting a nose to the Mirror Pond pint glass, as the aroma is underwhelming. If only it were more pronounced, the caramel, resin, pine, and floral notes are very well balanced. Medium sweetness is followed gently by medium bitterness, but the aromas are lost while tasting. The mouthfeel is outstanding; medium body, oily-creamy thick texture, and lively but soft carbonation. A very nice IPA, that could be fantastic if it was hopped a little more aggressively.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Medium orange gold, quite hazy, thick white head that leaves solid rings of lace down th glass. Aroma of grapefruit, melon, caramel. Sweet caramel malt, soft tropical fruit and citrus hops, long bitter finish. I’ve never had the Wildcat so I can’t compare, but I would never have pegged this as an imperial IPA. Nice IPA though.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy amber with a creamy off-white head. Very creamy. Aromas of lightly cooked light stone fruit and mildly roasted caramel. Med body. Carbs a bit sharpish. There’s quite a bit of malt up front, and the hop is fairly earthy and citric. This one is a bit different from the rest of the bunch. Like the earthiness.
