Bottle: Hazy deep copper is topped by a dense off white film of head. Spicy in the nose with some mild ginger, a touch of pine needle, thick caramel, and some dark fruit notes. Nice fluffy and chewy feel. Notes of toasted caramel, ginger, mild spruce and other spices are evident in the flavor. There’s an herbal bitterness on the back to dry it out. Although it doesn’t feel very Belgian, it’s well balanced and tasty.

Bomber poured a clear orange with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of tropical fruit, coriander, light orange and a hint of toffee. Palate was medium bodied and creamy smooth. Flavors of toffee, light fruittiness and light coriander with a smooth lightly sweet malty finish.

Golden pour with a nice head. The aroma is super fruit and spicy. I got lots of fruit loops, orange, coconut, lemon, grass. Similar notes in the flavor, fruity, spicy, grassy, a good deal of coriander. Sweet, spicy finish with a touch of alcohol warmth.

[Bottle] shared by skyview. Pours a cloudy gold with a small beige head. Aroma is white pepper and caramel. Flavor is more white pepper, caramel, and a touch of raisins. Somewhat grapey.

Hit the spot Grand Cru although one-dimensional corriander, it is drinkable sweet-spicey, with above average carbonation. Still very drinkable supporting yeast, decent looks and yeasty smell. Thanks SuzyGreenberg (Ed Bottomley).

On tap at the Green Dragon in Portland, OR--Bright orange-amber body with a creamy whitish head and lots of lace. Full-on floral nose. Soapy sweet, fruity flavor. Yum Yum Yum. Thin smooth, undeveloped finish but very nice.

From Skyview. Sweet but lots of hops. Coriander and lemon. Medium palate. This is an interesting combination of an ipa-like beer with a sweet Belgian ale. It is unusual and moderately successful. Extra poitns for experimentation.
