COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Orange hues, rich malt flavors, spicy coriander overtones, almost tropical aromas reminiscent of crushed pineapple and banana, this is one beautiful beer for fans of Belgian styles! Spring Fever is crafted from the finest English Pale Ale, Munich, Carastan and Belgian Aromatic malts, Columbus and Czech Saaz hops, spiced with coriander, and fermented with authentic Belgian ale yeast. Served on tap at Baileys taproom in Portland. Pours a deep mahogany brown with a dissipating brown head. some small specks were floating in the bottom of the imperial pint glass and were glistening off of the street lit interior of the bar. The taste was of plums, raisons, and pumpkins and it all blended together nicely with the subtle carbonation. I loved this beer.

Bomber shared by theisti. Pours a bright, lightly hazy orange with a thin off-white skin. The nose is like an amped-up witbier: orange peel, coriander and perhaps grains of paradise over a solid, pale/lightly bready malt backing. Medium to full-bodied and oily with a spicy, warming finish. The flavor follows the nose with a sweet and spicy finish. A nice beer. Thanks for sharing this with me, Tim.

22oz. bottle by way of theisti. Thanks! Spicy, sweet and floral aroma, fresh and honeyish, full of toasty amber malts and a profound yeast character. Cloudy medium-dark copper color, bottle-conditioned with plenty of sediment, head is fine and off-white in color. Flavor is sweet, spicy, citric and moderately bitter, with a mildly peppery alcohol bite to the finish. Some lingering herbal tones, orange and coriander as well. Mouthfeel is full and smoothly effervescent, body is medium. Interesting stuff.

22 oz bottle purchased at 99 Bottles in Federal Way, Washington. Pour is mostly clear orange ruby with a thinnish off white head. Some particulate floaties. Aroma of oranges, citrus, honey and some magnolia flower. Taste is sweet orange citrus, with some nice Belgian yeastiness in the finish. A bit grassy in the finish. A hoppy interpretation of a Belgian Ale. Nice.

22oz bottle. Light fruits, malt, light caramel, spicy, and candi sugar. Big bodied, lots of carbonation. Lots of sweet malt, black pepper, candi sugar, lingering sweetness. Way too sweet for a Belgian style, by my calculation it finished at 1.017.

Aroma of orange and fruity malt. Copper color with a decent white head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is so Belgian. Citrus/coriander it is. Mild yeast/spice. Noble hop. Yet mild overall. Very fresh. It is well balanced, and the finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Almost crisp. The flavors are consistent from beginning to end. Good stuff. Bubble gum? Yeah.

Bottle.

Pours a relatively dark (compared to the lighter color I had been expecting) golden orange with a reasonable head. Aroma of apricot tea, tannic leaves and a bit of bubblegum, honey and more stale apricot tea. Before tasting I have pretty high hopes, but it ll vanishes with a few sips. Vegetal off-tastes and moldy tea leaves. A bit more columbus hops than one might expect from the style contribute a recognizable house flavor, but I’m unimpressed overall and actually a little surprised at the relatively high ratings this one has garnered. If anything I’m being generous with the 2.9 I’ve given it.

22-oz bottle from 99 Bottles in Federal Way, Wash. Incredible bubble-gum aroma if served in the right glass (e.g., Duvel glass or other style that cups up around the nose). Full, rounded sweetness plus coriander spice and tropical citrus. Light hop bitterness melds with a candied fruitiness. Creamy, luscious. A "must-revisit beer" every spring!

Bottle. Rich caramel, dark cream colored head. Estery, bubblegum, yeast, light banana, and fruit aroma. Yeasty, spicy, slight bibblegum, slight mineral flavor. Medium bodied. Spice, light yeast, light breadiness lingers.
