Nice hopsprofile. Very full/thick bodied. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. Weird thick flow... a bit like the Snoqualmie Summerbeer we had but not as yoghurty. Too bad seemed like quite good beers. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 16, 2010 Cloudy orange with thick tan head that gradually fades leaving a coars, heavy lace. Not much aroma, but a nicely balanced IPA with hay and caramel malts and resin and ginger hops. Medium carbonation and medium body. Not too complex and a bit too bitter at the end of the bomber. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 9, 2010 From notes. Clear gold. White carbonation. Floral, fruity, resinous hops and lightly grainy pale malt. Medium, balanced body. Very easy to drink. Decent IPA. A little lower ABV and it’d make for a great session brew. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 22, 2009 Bottle thanks to Bitbucket! Transparent copper color with a moderate white head. Nose of fresh field, light earth and tree bark behind the grassy hop notes. Also some light berry and an off-note, like manure. Flavor is more straightforward hop but also balanced by lemon and a nicely muted biscuit note, hints of caramel and sugar creeping in to balance as it warms. Silky body, moderate finish, lightly sticky and drying. Very nice, never in your face, and exhibiting some balance and nuance. TipsyMcStager (946), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2009 citrus hop aroma. Pours a slighty cloudy orange with white head. Strong hoppy middle. Finishes dry. Medium body with some earthiness. Berley31 (230), New Brunswick, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 14, 2009 A: Poured with a medium-sized, thick white head. Body is a very nice dark golden color, and quite clear.
S: Citrus is quite apparent, with a medium-to-high hop aroma winning the battle.
T: This is a bitter beer... not overpowering, but the hops come through quite strongly. Extremely dry finish with a long duration.
M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with a soft-to-average carbonation. Very nice on the palate.
D: A very solid IPA... maybe too bitter to be drinking this all night, unless you want your taste buds scraped off. But a helluva strong showing that’s definitely worth picking up. kangaroo (51), Everett, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 11, 2009 A huge white head over orange and amber body. Smells of citrus and pine and light malt. Taste is of mild malt giving way to a roller coaster of pine and grapefruity hoppiness. Power chords of hops that fade quietly away into a long, bitter, dry finish. Overall a very nice beer.
