Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2006 Big grapefruit aroma. Good head. High 75 IBU. Reasonable 6.6 ABV. Juicy orange flavour, and good mouthfeel, but no-holds-barred bitter aftertaste.
A 750 thanks to Thebungyo. Had to keep in fridge because of the no preservatives notice. linc33 (177), Albany, New York, USA Jul 11, 2006 On tap at The Flying Pig, Everett WA. A shade above copper. Nice fruity flavours without an overdone, bitter finish. Top 3 IPAs of my 06 PNW experience. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 9, 2006 On draft at TS McHughs in Seattle. Nice pine and grapefruit nose with wonderful hops. Hops carryover to the taste and has a nice bitter finish. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Jun 15, 2006 Half pint ok cask at Latona Pub in Seattle. Piney, grapefruity hoppiness in the nose with some mild grainy and cereal-like maltiness. Straight forward aroma. Transparent copper color with a yellowish frothy head. Slight cascade grapefruity hops to start, turning a nice cereal-biscuity malty flavor in the middle. Finishes with some earthy hops. Well-balanced, pleasant, nicely done IPA. kyzr (1120), Belgrade, Montana, USA Jun 11, 2006 Light amber, with huge head! Nice aroma of hops. Big hops up front with light malt. Finish is a little bitter that stays with you. jegler (2), Washington, USA does not count Jun 5, 2006 22oz bottle. Pours golden-amber, as has been describe, with a nice head. Satisfying bitter finish with a pleasing aroma. While nothing exceedingly special, found it onsale at the local supermarket and was well worth the purchase. jujubeast6000 (772), Houston, Texas, USA Jun 3, 2006 22oz bottle: Pours a yellow-reddish clear color, big head-off-white yellowish. Good lacing. Sweet aroma, some hops, malts, northwest beer aroma. Bitter taste, some malts, slight acidic aftertaste. Krausen (102), USA Apr 20, 2006 Solid IPA. I like the fact that there is balance in this beer without caramel cloying malt character. The nose is a bit dissapointing with only mild hops but the flavor has a nice resin like stickyness that lingers just enough to let you know it is an IPA. Well made beer.
