| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 3, 2008 Creamy pear, white wine and vanilla aromas. Piney hops and a slight musty odor, like decomposing grass.
Flavor starts with apples + wine, building to an acidic resiny hops crescendo before finishing with slightly sweeter citrus notes. Some starchy bread malts (reminds me of sourdough).
Smooth, mouthfilling palate. Creamy texture and a moderate astringent finish. Lothore (276), California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 26, 2008 A- Pours a cloudy tangerine color with an ample 1.5 finger white head which sticks around for a while.
S- Smell is dominated by piney hops however is a little bit faint in my opinion.
T- Now this is a nice ipa. Starts off mild, sweet and predominately citrus fruits and moves into an absolute kick in the teeth with piney hops. The lingering hop bitterness is intense. .
M- Just the way I like it, a touch high on the carbonation, medium bodied.
D- The hoppy finish makes you pause while you are drinking this one but I would have no trouble having this as my standby beer if it was available in my area. bhensonb (4245), Woodland, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 23, 2008 Bomber from Liquid Solutions. Fresh citrus hop aroma with a touch of pine. Orange amber color with a frothy off-white head. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is floral/citrus hop over malt. More like a super strong ESB than an IPA for me. It’s hoppy, but the bready malt is strong enough to keep it from being all hop. The hop profile seems complex. At the finish I can imagine a little hot spice. It’s extremely good to drink. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy, jerc and mabel - bottle courtesy of J&K. Cloud orange pour with a solid lasting off-white head (and white floaties). funky-acidic spruce-hop bitter aroma, with mild malt backing. Very bitter taste indeed, thickly acidic - in fact the body is quite thick, chewy and (of course) acidic, with a long grapefruit pith finish. Very good, strong and drinkable - hop-forward for sure. blankboy (3202), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2008 Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, jerc & mabel -- courtesy of mabel. Pours a hazy golden-orange with floaties and an average size diminishing white head. Pleasant aroma of juicy citrusy hops backed by bready malt. Flavour, like the aroma, of citrus hops backed by bready malt and has a nice bitter finish. Alcohol well hidden. Medium bodied. A good beer to start our tasting with as it’s very easy to drink and quite refreshing -- I’d easily drink a few bottles of this in a row. AlabastorJones (765), San Francisco, California, USA

i recommend you try it.. jerc (3888), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hoppy aroma, lightly resiny citrusy notes. Flavour is likewise, lightly green resiny undertones, pleasant bitterness throughout, and modest citrus notes. Smooth average to medium palate. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 17, 2008 22 oz bottle from BottleTrek.com. Copper appearance with a head that dissipates quickly into wispy clouds. Aroma was quite perfumey and herbal. Flavor is similiar with some mild citrus notes and balanced well with caramel malts. Definitely hopped up and a long bitterness lingering. I am just not a big fan of Columbus hops, but still a decent PNW IPA.
