Acquired via trade. This beer pours a glossy orange color with a thick and foamy white head. The head created a plateau after a minute that looked uncannily like the clay one that Roy Neary carved in Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Thick lacing throughout. The aroma is an earthy blend of hops, malt and fruit. Medium-bodied with a nice hops punch, and a decent malt counterbalance. There is also some fruit (citrus and apricot) lingering. The finish is moderately bitter and lasting. I don’t think I have had a 100% Columbus hops beer before but what a great way to help identify them next time.

This is a really great example of a IPA and how it should be. This beer is underrated as far as I’m concerned. Lots of hoppinness with bitterness but not overpowering. A great IPA

Review based on 22 oz. bomber--also available on tap at the AleHouse in U.P. Light, slightly cloudy straw color. Huge, towering head, leaving significant lacing. Very sweet aroma with hints of citrus and hops. Massive tangy grapefruit bite on the tongue, and it carries all the way back to the throat. This is not pucker-bitter though. I like it, but the malt sweetness might just be a tad overdone for my tastes in this style. Having said that, Snoqualmie Falls makes some awesome brews. I need to rate some more of them.

From a 22 ouncer purchased at By The Bottle-- bright. semi-hazy body with a glowing orange-golden body. Chunkage at the end, but overall a sticky, lupulin bomb of a beer. Tangy, bitter, and aggressive on a primordial level. God Damn I Love Beer! XO

WOW! What an IPA! Thanks to Larry Pitonka! Hazy amber color. Smell of hops, pine, malt, flowers, caramel, cotton candy and some alcohol. Taste of hops, malt, grapefruit, apricots, pine, sugar, flowers, spice and a wonderful bitterness. Awsome IPA. What a treat! I need some more.

A- Pours a cloudy tangerine color with an ample 1.5 finger white head which sticks around for a while. S- Smell is dominated by piney hops however is a little bit faint in my opinion. T- Now this is a nice ipa. Starts off mild, sweet and predominately citrus fruits and moves into an absolute kick in the teeth with piney hops. The lingering hop bitterness is intense. . M- Just the way I like it, a touch high on the carbonation, medium bodied. D- The hoppy finish makes you pause while you are drinking this one but I would have no trouble having this as my standby beer if it was available in my area.

A: Poured with a medium-sized, thick white head. Body is a very nice dark golden color, and quite clear. S: Citrus is quite apparent, with a medium-to-high hop aroma winning the battle. T: This is a bitter beer... not overpowering, but the hops come through quite strongly. Extremely dry finish with a long duration. M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with a soft-to-average carbonation. Very nice on the palate. D: A very solid IPA... maybe too bitter to be drinking this all night, unless you want your taste buds scraped off. But a helluva strong showing that’s definitely worth picking up.

Orange amber with a large white head. Aroma is tangerine citrus and some cedar. Flavor is sweet caramel malt up front, then cedar, grapefruit, and a dry bitter finish. One of my favorite inexpensive IPAs.
