Sampled during Cellar’s weekly beer gathering and shared by a non-ratebeerian as Yosemite Falls Pale Ale. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of golden grain malt, some grapefruit, honey and a touch of citrus zest. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt, some citrus and mild hard fruit. Finish is slightly bitter with a multi-grain and citrus aftertaste. Nice balanced flavor on this APA.

Draft @ Snowshoe. Pours a bright, brilliantly clear golden-orange color; creamy, fine-bubbled off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. Some pleasant, rounded biscuity and caramel malts in the aroma (nicely done maltiness) alongside some earthy bitterness; more of an amber than anything. Medium body; medium CO2; round, but well-attenuated. Nice, rounded biscuity and caramel maltiness, along with just enough balancing earthy/mineral bittering hops; balanced overall, and hugely drinkable. Like a winter warmer for summer in the mountains. Medium-length finish: biscuity, minerals, dry.

Bottle and Tap. Pours clear amber with a small white head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is faint spruce, pine and caramel. Citrus notes apparent on tap only. Flavor is the same (much fresher and more citrusy on tap). Light sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body.

Pours light amber with a decent beige head and a pine aroma. There is a robust caramel malt flavor with with a clean bitter hop finish. Not bad, but a bit watery.

Snowshoe Brewing Company has made a decent beer in Thompson Pale Ale. Good nose, strong up front with a clean finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone4S

Bottle. It has a wonderful hop aroma with some nut underneath. Nice looking light brown color. Medium body and long walnut skin finish. Its a little weird that it smells like an IPA and tastes like a brown ale but it’s not off putting. Its actually very enjoyable.
