It is what it is - a light and refreshing brew low in alcohol and taste but great when it is 90F outside with 90% humidity.

Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes.

Can of this in boco del toros. Skunky and nasty taste and smell. Not sure if it just a bad beer or a bad beer. Cold , so that a isn't it. Yuck. But drinking it all

Shared from a 12oz can into a nonic glass, thanks Greg. It poured a clear, straw colour with thick sudsy white foam and lace. Aromas and flavours of corn, corn, and more corn. Light body, strong carbonation, residual corn syrup sweetness all the way through to the sticky aftertaste. Glad to have the chance to try it, but it didn’t taste good at all.

Canned, 0.355l. Clear straw color with small frothy white head and sparkling apperance. Aroma of hay, light bread, cooked vegetables, dust and some citrus. Taste starts light fruity or yeasty acidic, followed by light sweet adjunct malt and finished slightly bitter. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. You will certainly stay sober with Soberana, no mattter how many cans you drink...

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2013 Horrible. Does Panama know what they are missing? Atlas, balboa, panana, and now this. Honestly, it’s like a watered down Miller lite....this doesn’t even taste like cheap corn like the others, more like a seltzer with stale hops. It’s there even alcohol in this?

Pretty trashy. Panama beer is still the worst, but this is worse than Atlas and almost at the lowly level of Panama. You would have to get this to freezing point before it became drinkable. Can from the corner store in Casco Viejo.

Can 355ml. @ PBF2012.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, toasted, pale malt, light cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, grain, pale malt, sweet malt, cardboard notes. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20120728]

This is probably the worst beer in Panama. At 3% there is no real reason to drink it and i joked about sober in the title meaning it was a really light beer.

Can purchased on a side trip to Penonome while vacationing in Panama. Poured into a water glass at my resort room. Poured a straw yellow with minimal carbonation. Head disappeared immediately. Immediately detected a corn aroma and flavor with perhaps a little rice. Off flavor not very enjoyable. Slight maltiness with no perceptable hops. No wonder it was so hard to find. Almost worth the 50 cents that it cost.
