Bottle, 22oz, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. A brown one, unclear, and topped by a beige head of moderate size. Roasted aroma with some coffee and molasses. The hops play a significant part too. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting roasted finish with molasses and a touch of dried fruits. Pretty pleasant this one. 140215

Low tanned head. Unclear, mid-brown body. Gently sweet caramel malty aroma. Faint licorice and roasted nuts. Near full body. Firm grassy and leafy bitterness. Bottle from Whispering Tree: Appeared as a dark brown liquid with almost no formation of head. Aroma is mild with a light roasty malt nose that comes across as a bottle of iced coffee. The drink is sweet and bitter with roast ground coffee bean and toasted brown malts that doesn’t make this that special of a porter.
