COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SoCal Seismic IPA is our California rendition of the popular English India Pale Ale. Abundance of English and American hops create a big, bold and aggressively hopped beer that is so intensely smooth, it will knock you off your feet.

I poured a nice frothy head from a 22 oz bottle into a glass mug. It has a nice golden brown color. I was disappointed at first at the lack of aroma and taste. I bought it ice cold. It warmed up just enough to release a tantalizing aroma and a taste to match. Here I am looking at an empty glass, wondering first how to make use of the suggested Aroma notes (sure, it had hints of caramel...but did I detect herbs or resin?) and second, why I didnít buy another. This beer stands up to another one of my favorites: Arrogant Bastard, Your rating rookie, but ale elder AleContent

Aroma isnít quite as great as the pale Ale bit is stil nice. This is a pretty tasty beer. Definitely has some caramel notes in this but is quite drinkable. I liked it.

Pours a light amber color, very clear, with a small head that falls quickly and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. The aroma is citrus, slight pine, and slight spice. Some of the hop flavors come through after swallowing, but there is a solid caramel character and some bitterness. The body is moderate, but still full and interesting. Drinkability is great.

Picked up a few bottles from WF during my weekend visit to southern California. Have not seen these beers in AZ yet. Nice bronze color. Fair amount of white head that leaves nice lacing for the entire glass. The smell is all floral hops. Taste is not too complex, just wonderful hops bitterness but itís not overpowering at all. Very nice balance of sweetness to control the bitterness. Very smooth finish for such a hoppy beer. Would like to get my hands on this here.

22oz bomber pours clear copper with gold edges and semi frothy tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up orange-ish hard candy sweet and also resiny hop notes as well as a bit of mango like tropical fruit and a touch of malt roastiness. The taste is pretty smooth and not at all bold but rather tame and fairly easy drinking. I get modest levels of orange and tangelo citrus like hops mixing with a mild degree of mango tropical fruit. To midway it begins to dry out seemingly from a sliver of roasted malts and a bit of resiny hops. The mango notes linger into the dry after taste. Nice mild IPA.

(22oz bottle) Pours a hazy burnt orange body with a medium creamy rocky off-white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, florals, caramel, and bread. Flavor of orange, caramel, peach, bread, and grass with a bitter finish.

Pours a clear copper color with a 2 finger white top that formed a nice ring on top of the glass. Beautiful spider web lacing on the glass. This is an interesting IPA. Smell was mostly sweet malt and some floral hops. The initial taste is also caramel sweetness followed by a punch of hops that follow nicely. Very easy drinking IPA and quite good.

Pours a copper color with a two finger white head and good retention. Leaves decent lacing on the glass. Toasty malts, a little bready aroma along with floral and citrus hops. Citric hops again dominate the palate. Moderate malt flavor keeps it in check, very smooth and full in the mouth. Refreshing carbonation keeps it light and crisp. Slightly toasty, good complexity and balance. Great sessionable IPA

Bottle and served in GI IPA Tulip: Pours an initially coppery golden hue with a lovely frothy head and very good lacework. The aroma has plenty of tropical fruit and herbal esters, hint of pepper, biscuity malt and some aspirin earthiness. The taste is fruity and light bittered, very well balanced and makes for an easy going drinker. Dry chalky finish with plenty of sprite carbonation. Nothing that will knock your socks off but a nice Sunday Spring brew.

On tap at Blue Palms Brewhouse, Hollywood. Amber colour. Caramel and fruity hops nose. Good bitterness and balance. Nice.
