Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Dark malt aroma. Toffee and light chocolate flavor with light roast. Medium bodied. Toffee and light licorice lingers with light chocolate and light roast.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown/black color with a tan head. The aroma is intense with dark chocolate and coffee. The flavor is spicy dark cocoa with hints of savory soy, coffee and burnt sugar. Thick bodied but well balanced. Very nicely done.

This beer smells strongly of coffee and has a strong coffee flavor with a hoppy aftertaste. It tastes like an acidic coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An interesting stout. Don't know why they have lager in the name. Pours a thick black with a tan head. Smells of coffee beans. Taste is very coffee, a little sour, with a hoppy finish. Bitter aftertaste. Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap (sample) @ the brewpub. Weird name for a Baltic Porter. "Black" color (was hard to see in the dim light). Aroma’s: roast, a bit of coffee, some bitter chocolate, also umami/soy sauce and a hint of fruit retronasal. Flavor is like drop, medium sweet, hard roasted, somewhat acidic. Body is rather full. Finishes roasty and medium bitter. Best beer of the evening.
