Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a pure deep gold body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up a rye to a spicy hop like twang mixing with some sweet maltiness with a touch of toasted malts or toasted German rye bread. The taste has a decent level of sweet maltiness and it rolls quickly into grapefruit like hops, sort of a tart tangelo and then a spicy rye component around the edges. This is a nice pale ale with a pleasing level of nearly rich hop bitterness to stay well ahead of the maltiness.

On tap at Social Kitchen poured a hazy tarnished gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of rye, light earthiness and light fruittiness. Palate was light odied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, citrus and bread with a crisp lingering citrus finish.
