Pours a slightly hazed golden color with a white head. Incredible pineapple aroma to this. Plenty of citric hops, tons of grapefruit, and a bit of tangerine. Light pine and a bit of floral hops as well. Dank hoppiness on the palate. Some bready malt, a touch of biscuit, and huge pineapple and grapefruit flavors. Really nice floral and pine notes with a moderate bitterness to it as well. Easy drinking despite the ABV.

Tap at Stone Escondido. Glowing low haze golden pour. Medium white foam. Nose is a tad vegetal, kale/cabbage and parnsip. All of the beers at Stone that day had this note so probably a tap line issue. Taste is quite bitter, clean but aggressive with some bright melon character. Now if my cat would stop sitting on the keyboard I could continurssdd ds

Sample at the tasting room. Clear copper color with a medium thin foamy white head that dissipates gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, roast malt and fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, pineapple and toasted malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a zesty citrus and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Fresh, orangey nose, tangering, mandola and -peels; fresh grapey hops. Bitter, but not harsh, again fruity-citrussy. Still not much going on further. Falls a bit flat, and not talking carbonation. Slick, medium bodied. Ur-classical IPA in the end.

On tap at the source. Pours with a hazed golden yellow hue with a lasting white head and good lace. Aromas are hop forward: citrusy, floral, tangerine and resin. Medium grapefruit pith. Lightly malty, bready, no crystal character (which I am completely okay with). Dry, malty. Quite clean yeast wise. Flavors are very dry, bitter, light resin, citrus, a bit of spicy cohumulone hop character, grassy. Medium to medium strong bitterness with a bitter balance. Well attenuated and dry with medium to medium high carbonation. Didn’t notice much alcohol. Well done, but the next IPA is even better!
