At common table with Colin, Jacob, Justin, and friends. Pours golden yellow with layer of white head. Aroma is strong fantastic awesome very delicate floral fruity hops. Reminds me of exponential hoppiness, taste is dry, awesome full flavored hops that envelope the palet. This is an absolutely exceptional ipa.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear pale gold body that supports a near white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma is a juicy mix of mango, cantaloupe and lime as well as having a thin onion spicy hop edge to it. This smells Nelson-ish as it gets slightly white wine like at the end of the draw. The taste is thick rich Nelson goodness supported by sweet clean thin maltiness where notes of tangelo, mango and cantaloupe fruitiness bubbling up along with just a sliver of sweet white wine grape sensation to midway. Toward the finish it picks up resiny almost onion like earthy hoppy notes that inject short spikes of bitterness into the involved juiciness that’s going on here. This is every bit Alpine Nelson that I have ever had. Is it better . . .

On draft at Societe. So clean, crisp and sweet with a strong but mellow hop burst! Amazing!

Pours a hazy, pale golden yellow color with a one finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. The glass is left coated with large sheets of soapy lacing. Floral, slightly earthy and oily resinous hop aroma with pine needle and tons of tropical fruit. Lots of grapefruit, papaya, pineapple and orange peel countered by pale biscuit malt, toffee and graham cracker. Full bodied with a slight creamy texture and a blast of earthy, piny hops countered by a boat load of tropical/citrus fruit notes and a pale makt backbone. Grassy pine needle and earthy bitterness along with a ton of grapefruit, mango, pineapple and lemon peel. Really complex and delicious hop profile. Light pale malts underneath with biscuit and graham cracker. Really well balanced and way too easy to put down. I could drink this all day. Awesome beer! I tried several Societe beers on my last trip to SD and this was the most flavorful. Highly recommended!

Pours gold with a thick white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, orange peel and freshly milled grain. Taste is grapefruit, slight pine, slightly sweet malt but mostly a hop bomb. So good, in my top 5 IPAs

So the appearance is your typical golden slightly hazy with ample fluffy white head that leaves soapy lacing everywhere. Aroma is grapes and gooseberries right away followed by Meyer lemon and citrus and a nice delicate floral aroma similar to cherry blossom. I do also smell a decent amount of alcohol which lowers the score only slightly. Taste, wow, right away I get the sweet malt but it doesn’t taste like malt, more fruit like dark grapes and gooseberry followed by a nice citrus wave led by the meyer lemon and some orange zest. The finish is slightly bitter with a wheat and yeast taste, I really didn’t feel any alcohol burn on the finish, so I was guessing it was around 7% alc however it is 8.4% and sneaks up on you quick. Nice ample soapy carbonation cleans the palate well, a very nice medium body IPA with some interesting flavors integrated into it.

"Has the strength of a double, but not showing any alcohol. Fairly sweet with a bitter fruity finish. Fairly standard, fresh ipa...above average but not among the elite. 2013-Brewery fresh I gotta say this was pretty damn good. Stinky hops, light for the abv. Good stuff! I can admit when I’m wrong :)"

Des mangues, cantaloupe, oranges qui perdent leur jus riche et sucré au profil d’une corpulence parfaitement exécutée. Un aspect oignon ajoute une complexité, je miserais sur le Nelson avec celle-là
