3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
May 9th, 2014 - I started with the Harlot, and moving on now to the Debutante, we get darker and sweeter at a quick pace. Murky and hazy, it’s the color of a milk chocolate bar, or cold brew coffee, with a thin halo of soft foam leftover. The aroma barely ekes out of the sample glass, but I glean a dark sweetness, redolent of graham cracker and molasses, but also a fresh airiness. The palate is low and sudsy, with a Belgian yeast sweetness, and a long, slightly caramel aftertaste reminiscent of an ESB. Cinnamon is more pronounced in the aftertaste, where the first sip features a hoppier bitterness and pils touch.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(En fût à la brasserie): Tout juste entre un bonbon à l’érable et une marmelade de fruits oranges. L’équilibre esters-sucres est très plaisant, la texture aérienne, confortable et la finale amère comme un pamplemousse.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy golden brown on tap with thin off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of nice Belgian esters, spicy and fruity. Taste is more malty and less estery, a nice fruity hop note on the back end as well. Pretty nice.

On tap at the brewery. It pours an amber color with an off white head. The aroma is dry and toasted with some light raisin and dark fruit. The flavor is the same. Toasted with some light doughy bread and plum fruit. Medium bodied. Just ok.
