4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap @ brewery. Amber color with a scattering of white foam for a head. Aroma is clove, pepper, spice, and minimal malt sweetness. Flavor is clove with pepper and spices and some light malt sweetness. Clean finish. Quite a bit of complexity and restraint in a clean, somewhat dry package. I really enjoyed this beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Societe, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt - not much else. Flavour is similarly, with bready malt, very dry toffee notes, and more bready malts. Very dry and bready. Solid stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the tasting room. Clear brownish-amber color with a medium khaki head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of yeast,, biscuit malt and floral hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of bready malt, earthy yeast and hops. The finish is citrusy up front with a peppery yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
RBSG 2013, from a growler. Societe brews awesome beer and this is no exception. Very Belgian in character with teh yeast and malt. Sweet and heavily hopped but not bitter. Sweet malt as well to balance the hops.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Toronado: Poured a light shade of brown with almost no formation of head other than a little miniature foam cap. Aroma is mild with a whiff of spicy Belgian yeast and sweet caramel. The flavor is tart and has a funky yeast that I suspect is brettanomyces, but other than that the flavor is almost empty or watery. There is some sweet malts in the background fizzy carbonation on the palate.

Very easy to drink... Finished a growler before I even realized it. Amber with an off white head. Sweet and spicy aroma with a sweet and toasty spicy taste. Very tasty... Complex but refined. Not the best San Diego Belgian but for sure one of the perks of living here.

The pour is semi transparent brown with a small white head. The nose is prunes, raisins, molasses, Belgian candy sugar and some cloves with light pepper. The taste is medium high sweet and low medium bitter. The texture is soft and smooth. Body is heavy and the finish is long.
