Wow! This beer is so delicious. It’s bone dry and very floral. I had it on tap at the tasting room. They told me it was all European hops (it smells like Saaz). The Harlot has a wonderful Belgian-like flavor ad aroma but is happier and drier than almost all other Belgians I’ve had! I dinged the score because I wish the abv were lower since this could potentially be incredibly sessionable. Anyway, great stuff!

On tap at the brewery as well as a growler. Pours with a crystal clear golden yellow hued body with a lasting white head that leaves good lace. Aromas are very hoppy, herbal and spicy, grassy. Pretty clean yeast wise, low phenol and even less ester (some dried fruit). Low malt character. Overall pretty clean, a touch peppery, nearly pils like. Flavors are dry, earthy, and crisp. Medium hops (grassy, herbal). Nicely dry and quaffable, low bready malt character, some mineral notes. Clean yeast wise with some peppery phenol. Very drinkable, lively bubbles, crisp with a light body. Excellent beer.

The pour is clear pale yellow with a big white head. The nose is nice Belgian candy sugar, ginger, cloves, bready pastry and light honey. The taste is medium to low sweet with low bitter again with these guys, great balance. The texture is soft and creamy, the body is light and the finish is huge. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ PP Carlsbad. Light golden pour with a slick of white foam and steady, semi-aggressive carbonation. Aroma is minimal hops and a pleasant yeast character with slight clove followed by a clean malt profile. Taste is soft clove, light yeast esters, minimal banana, pepper, and complimentary hop bitterness through the finish. Clean mouthfeel going from smooth to crisp. Understated beer but well crafted and quite enjoyable.

GABF 2012, October 12, Friday. Very Belgian in character. Dry with lots of hops and Belgian yeast, but lower alcohol, making me think of Orval or a dry saison. A great beer.

Clear medium yellow pour, with a fluffy white head. A very nice, light, dry Belgian ale. Bread, peppery, grain, yeast, herbal bitterness, dry banana, and grass. Very drinkable and dry, nice.

Really light Belgian with light fruit, pepper/earthy hops, light bready yeast. This is just a really light crisp easy drinking Belgian on a hot day. Refreshingly dry, not sweet and a great Belgian extra.

Pours a yellow-orange with a small white head which leaves nice lacing. Aroma is of Belgian yeast, light bready malts, some banana, cloves, and some fruity ethers. Taste is of Belgian yeast, banana, cloves, bready malts, fruits, and some light funkyness. Has a medium body with a slighty creamy mouthfeel and a dry, slighty bitter, refreshing finish. Overall, a pretty tasty and refreshing Belgian ale.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2012 SS Growler from the brewery. Spicy white pepper aroma with some flowery herbal hops, light Belgian banana esters behind with some cracker malt. Flavor follows suit, some nice hops again with the spicy white pepper pretty prominent. There is some of the fruity yeast, but not too much. Reminds me a bit of Taras Boulba, which I’m told is what the brewers were shooting for, so good on them. Scant sweetness, this finishes nice and dry with earthy bitterness peaking at a 3-4. Pretty tasty. Old rating follows. Tap at Newport Pizza in OB. Clear light yellow gold with a small white head, down to a tattered film. Very dry, Belgian yeasty. Some dry herbal hops. Dry finish, bitterness at 3. Light body mod carb. Nice dry light belgian pale. Will update later.
