3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Societe, pours a clear pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry Belgian hops, dry floral hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour brings out dry biscuity malt and light floral hops. Light and drinkable. Decent, but unspectacular.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at the tasting room. The beer is a clear pale yellow-gold color with a medium white head that dissipates gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, yeast and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is hoppy with a clove and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

>> Pours a clear macro lager blond, nice white foam with good lacing. Nose is estery, sweet pear, saltwater, chlorine. Taste is chlorine drying, watery, small dry yellow apple. Wife notes corn, water, macro lager flavor, soapy, mealy. Eh.

Pour on tap, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of grass, biscuit, some white fruit into a touch of grain, slight earthy notes with some spicy notes as well. Taste was a mix of orange peel, lemon, hints of yeast into a bit of grain, biscuit, some white fruit, some slight Belgian yeast, finishing spicy, slightly sweet.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
My Bottom Line:
Interweaving bubblegum, flowers, honey and citrus move towards a minty, herbal hop finish in this svelte and quenching Belgian-style Blond.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A healthy head of foam covers the translucent golden. Beautiful even from the growler, eh?
-The mouthfeel is fluffy, airy and light.
-This is as easy drinking as you can imagine.
-At times, this feels like Dupont’s little expat cousin.

[2/20/15] Draught at Societe in San Diego. Clear yellow. Spicy Belgian aroma with a floral hops hint. Sweetish flavor, spicy, with some fruity notes and a slightly bitterish finish. Medium-bodied.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery as well as a growler. Pours with a crystal clear golden yellow hued body with a lasting white head that leaves good lace. Aromas are very hoppy, herbal and spicy, grassy. Pretty clean yeast wise, low phenol and even less ester (some dried fruit). Low malt character. Overall pretty clean, a touch peppery, nearly pils like. Flavors are dry, earthy, and crisp. Medium hops (grassy, herbal). Nicely dry and quaffable, low bready malt character, some mineral notes. Clean yeast wise with some peppery phenol. Very drinkable, lively bubbles, crisp with a light body. Excellent beer.
