4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the Hop Grenade. It pours an attractive yellow color with a white head. The aroma has fresh hoppy citrus, light orange, pine and grapefruit. The flavor is dry hoppy, citrus, spice, a little pine and hints of orange. Dry crackery malt in the background. Tremendous hop complexity. Pretty much the perfect APA.

On draft. Pale gold. Thin aroma. Flavor is high register and slightly sweet, like wheat. Slightly astringent. Not impressive.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at the brewery with Linh. Pours a clear golden body. Aroma is dank - but not in the way I’ve begun to associate with IPAs (i.e. Funky fruits, herb, dank weed, etc.) this is more dank floral/tree/moss/earthy character which is cool and inviting. Mouthfeel is thin with prickly carbonation and notes of sugar and pine. Nice overall.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden colored body, medium sized white head, soapy lacing. Piney and resinous with some earthy characteristics. Medium bodied with moderate to gentle carbonation, aggressive bitterness. Focused on bitterness without sufficient complexity to truly deliver.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
My Bottom Line:
Dank earth, green leaves, elderberries and citrus fruit mingle within this freshest of American Pale Ales.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the misty gold.
-On tap at the brewery, this must be seriously poundable.
-The soft carbonation and lean body make for a very drinkable brew.
-The flavor profile is balanced.
-Bitterness levels are moderate, keeping drinkability very high.
-The hop display is engaging while never being overwhelming.
