Draft sampled at GABF 2014 with Andrew, Mel and David. Pours a light golden body with huge white head and lots of lacing. Aroma is light funky dank character - nelson, funky lemons, dank citrus fruits, fresh grass and lemonade. Mouthfeel is super light - seems to be a lighter more reserved version of The Apprentice, but still nearly 8%; notes of fresh lemongrass, dank hops - nelson, amarillo, citra and motueka. Really, really nice IPA.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. Pours blonde with a nice off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with a huge bitter hop finish. A typical, but good, excessively hoppy West Coast IPA.

Solid IPA...citrusy hops. Soft palate that is never too much. The aroma is just a hair behind the apprentice, but there are no weaknesses in this one. Sessionable for the strength as well."

Sample at first sunday from a growler. These guys still seem pretty under the radar but are so tasty. Tropical and fruity with a little bit of grapefruit on the finish. Pineapple working throughout. Light and delicate hops not your typical west coast aggressiveness but still really nice and subtle and fruity.

Hazy yellow. Creamy 2 finger head. Mild grapefruit and tangerine bitterness on the nose. Dank woody and a touch of sweetness. Standard west coast IPA taste and almonds. Mouthfeel is thin and oily

Draft, City Beer Store. Aroma is mildly dank. Light cannibus, herbal, traces of cat urine. Grapefruit, dank weeds, old tropical fruit. Mouth feel is better on this one. Lingering herbalness with pine and more weed. Nicely dank.

Growler at home, 4 days old. Pour is hazy orange with a small white head and great lacing. Big melon skin, papaya, lemon drops, biscuit, grass, pineapple and orange marmalade in the aroma. Taste is grapefruit skin, pineapple, oranges, grass, light weed, bread, and cantaloupe with a big bitter finish. Full mouthfeel with high carbonation. Awesome IPA! I really wish I easy access to these guys, everything I have had has been solid.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2014 This beer is a pale yellow gold color, moderately to mildly hazy and has a somewhat fizzy white head. Some lacing, good retention, I guess - it’s a bar pour. Aroma has a bright, sweet hop flavor. Fairly juicy. Sweet lemon, mild pineapple, mango, big tangerine, raspberry. Little to no malt character. Taste has similar bright hops on a dry malt background. A touch sharp from the dryness. Bitterness is medium to moderate. Very clean in the finish. Easy to drink. Carbonation is on the high side. A little bit fizzy. Excellent hoppy beer. Very West Coast.
