Tap @ PP Carlsbad. Beautiful hazy and vibrant light golden color in the class with a froth of white foam. Aroma is not necessarily the most pungent but there is a nice mix of light white wine from the nelson with some hop bitterness and pine. Taste is hop dominated with citrus, pine, and medium bitterness over a fairly clean, lightly sweet malt backbone. Good IPA.

Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of juicy fruits, grass, caramely malts, pine and resin. Taste is smooth, crisp, hoppy and malty with hints of grass, tropical fruits, caramel, pine and resin. Finish is hoppy, crisp, bitter and fruity with some caramely notes, hints of pine and resin. Quite good.

Draught @ Coin-Op Game Room, San Diego, CA. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of really fresh lemony hops, orange sweetness and herbs. Flavour is very rich and juicy with citrusy bitterness, herbs, some caramel sweetness, biscuit and nice earthy notes. Medium bodied and dangerously good drinkability. Awesome.

Citrus and tropical hop notes, light malt base... Citra and Nelson worked really well together in this... Some grainy notes... Not overwhelmingly bitter... Really nice ipa ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Fruity tropical hops, moderate bitterness, some city dankness, and faint sweetness. Good stuff.

Savor 2015. Citra and Nelson area always favorites, explains why this was so good. Nice nose, nice taste, palate medium light.

My Bottom Line:
Biscuity honeyed malts lift citrusy hops in this crisp and refined IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the clear straw golden.
-The mouthfeel is engaging and conducive to great gulps.
-Hops are also herbal and a tad resinous.
-I didn’t find this one more aromatic or more flavorful than their Publican (Pale Ale), so I fail to see why I would drink this IPA instead of its less alcoholic sister.

On tap at their brewery tasting room.

2-4 oz bottle pour at SAVOR 2015’s Saturday night session. Golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus and floral notes. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, lemon lime and grapefruit. Medium body with a dry finish. Very nice IPA.
