Not a huge fan of the Nelson hop profile, but this beer is very good. Clean and very hoppy.

Aroma: big bouquet of fruity and floral hops, grapefruit, slightly dank, a kiss of ligbt malts.
Appearance: pale yellow pour, white head with good retention and ample lacing.
Taste: bursting with hops, lots of citrus and a bit of pine, medium bitterness quickly gives way to more hop flavors and a touch of crisp light malts. Really nice hop profile, clean and well done, finishes dry and refreshing.
Palate: light to medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall: great brew, clean, hoppy, and dry.

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter peachy grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

The pour pale yellow with an orange hue in the center and a lush white head. The nose is citrus, more on the lemon orange side than grapefruit, little skunky and some pastry. The taste is high sweet and medium high bitter. The texture is crisp and clean, the body is medium and finish is long.

Sample from growler. The beer pours a clear pale amber-gold color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and toasted malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character that has grapefruit and onion notes. Some sweet malt in the background. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Solid IPA all around.

Growler thanks to Hopscotch. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Florally hop aromas. Fantastic florally hop notes with just enough of a malt backbone to maintain the balance. Wow, really impressive. Good body, mouthfeel, and carbonation. I could drink this all day long....

Most recently at Toronado SD. I love it. It’s got a big citrus hop nose. Big citrus and spice flavor with a nice hop bite. Doesn’t taste like it is a high alcohol IPA. Not too malty, but enough malt that it doesn’t taste watered down. It doesn’t get much better than this.

On tap. Clear yellow with a fizzy white head. Huge grassy, grapefruit, and lawn clippings aroma. Thick sticky full bodied palate. Well balanced sweet and bitter taste with a lot of citrus fruit flavors and a grassy Hoppiness to the finish. Well done.

On tap at Hamilton's in San Diego, served in a shaker. Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head that fades to a thin remnant. In the nose there are notes of tropical fruit and pine, along with subtle flowers. The flavour is well balanced, between slight sweetness and piney, resinous bitterness. The finish is long and piney, with tropical fruit. On the palate it is medium in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall this is a nice aromatic IPA. Subtle, but the malts are a little under-emphasized. 2013-03-21
