Can to taster. Looks good; a mostly opaque dull black with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, and mild roast. Tastes like it smells with a bit of toasted coconut as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and fairly bitter. Enjoyable, and a nice bonus that itís available in cans.

On tap at Black Friday. This one burns just by looking at it. I was trying not to like it...but whatís not to like. Black body, singing alcohol aroma, taste unites the alcohol, roast grains and wood notes into an unholy mess of greatness. Sockeye, I bow in your direction.

Can, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out complex bourbon barrels above anything. Flavour is similar, with really complex bourbon notes coming through, medium sweetness, a little vanilla and a touch of cocoa. Really complex and cohesive, with wonderful refinement. Excellent.

Can - Toasted coconut and tons of bittersweet chocolate. Jet black with a small brown head. Bitter, sweet and a long sweet bitter finish. A bit dry. Good can.

Sample at GABF 09/26/2015, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Brownish-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, bourbon and coffee in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, chocolate malt and coffee. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Dark beer with a thin, foamy brown head that shank to a thin slick. Great nose of subtle whiskey barrel, molasses, licorice, dark chocolate and alcohol. This is a very nice BA Imperial Stout. Molasses and dark chocolate sweetness with some licorice, vanilla, whiskey, oak, dark roasted grains, faint smoke, sweetened coffee and a bit of juicy over ripe fruit. Very nice balance.

This poured a very inky black with a dark tan head. Impressive. Aroma is big Bourbon, fudge, marshmellow and light ash. Flavor was sweet oak, fidgety chocolate, lightly boozy and bitter but very tasty and impressive overall.

12oz can thanks to Secret Santa 2014
Pours murky dark brown/almost black with a medium sized tan head and lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is bourbon, woody, vanilla, dark chocolate and some metallic. Flavors of roasted malts, woody, vanilla, caramel and bourbon
Wow, very good Imperial Stout. I still canít get used to pouring a beer like this out of a can.
