12 ounce can thanks to Boisebeerguy. Wow. Big nose. Super mollasses slightly sweet chocolate cream goodness. Slick and oily. Totally solid. Barrel aged in a can! It can be done.

It was surreal to watch it pour out of the can, because I’ve never seen anything so dark and syrupy in a can. Rich, slightly bitter, bitingly roasty, a little chocolate, very good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz can. Pours out black topped with a tan/brown head. Nose is sweet milk chocolate, whisky, oak, and vanilla. Taste is as the nose with a faint barrel, chocolate, booze, vanilla, and more sweetness. I love the fact that this good BA imp stout is in a can. The simple silver can looks awsome aswell.

Can courtesy of JohnGalt1, thanks! Very dark brown color, thick and viscous. Sizeable brown head after an aggresive pour, but it fades quickly. The aroma is good; a nice blend of oak, char, bourbon, and malt. Good balance of sweet and char. That same balance holds up well in the taste. Good malt bill compliments the roast and barrel notes, along with a very agreeable amount of chocolate. The huge plus here is the brewer giving me something I (almost) always want: A big, brawny RIS in a small format. Not overbearing that I need to slowly sip, but big enough to savor moderately. If it was available locally, I’d drink this all the time.

Out of a can that BuckeyeBoy graciously gave me. Deep black thick pour with a fat pillowy cocoa head. Rich chocolaty toffee aroma with some barrel goodness. Light roast flavors, smooth chocolate and caramel. Like a candy bar. Sipping some of the foamy head with each drink is like whipped cream, or the middle of a 3 musketeers. Thick creamy palate. Just barely enough bitterness at the end. Lingering bitter rast and chocolate. Lovely.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 23, 2013 12 ounce can. Luckily some hobo left a box of half finished beers near my hotel room, and this was in the box! Fuck yeah! Anyway, the nose is big barrel, chocolates and oak. The flavor is big sludgy fudge and chocolates, raisin, tannins, light vanilla and light barrel overall. Dry mostly. A light whiskey bite in the finish. Very good! Dude, Boise homeless are much better than Pittsburgh homeless who leave only dead hookers to clean up.

I know this has been on tap before, but I missed it. Saw the tweet today that they have about 20 cases of 12oz cans. I made the move QUICKLY... picked up one 4-pack.... I will be back tomorrow morning!
Good reverse cascade of bubbles with the pour.... Deep dark brown head has nice retention with okay spotty lacing. The brew is absolutely black with no light escaping.
The nose is thick chocolate... the whiskey comes out as vanilla and a bit of oak... but chocolate is the big player here by far.
Flavor mirrors the nose with a minor nice balance of dark malt and a hint of char... subtle dark fruitiness really rounds it out nicely... possibly something that I associate with black licorice in the distant finish
Smooth light carbonation accentuates a little lighter than expected body... but not a game changer.
Really pretty damn well done... I doubt cellaring will do any good... this is tasty right out of the gate and needs no time to come together.
