“Kolsch is a light, crisp ale and when infused with cranberry, it has a refreshing, tart and fruity finish that will pair well with all those things cranberries compliment. Light turkey, stuffing, even pie.”

Can from whole foods. Unbelievable head, towers over rim of glass (poured into a stange). Cranberries offer a minor presence in the aroma, else it smells pure kolsch. Taste also has the crisp grain character, with the cranberries again just providing some background tartness. Solid kolsch, don’t know why this is listed as a fruit beer.

Yellow beer out of the can with a rocky white head that had a pinkish hue to it. Nice fresh berry nose that reminded me of my mother’s raspberry currant jelly. Fresh, real berry sweet/tart flavors over some crusty bread and a bit of lemon cookie in the finish. It could be so much worse.

Pours hazy pink/yellow with a medium sized white head, good lacing. Aroma of grains, cereal and berries. Taste is crisp, some sweetness, berries, grains and mild tartness
This is a nice and easy drinking.

On Tap at the River Room, Whole Foods, Boise Clear very light tan with a hint of orange/pink tint. Very faint aroma of light malitiness and a touch of cidery notes. Dry tart body. Late light cereal taste.

Can, via JohnGalt1. Pours a hazy amber color topper with a finger of creamy beige head. Thick sheet lacing. Nose is musty grain, lightly fruity and tart. Creamy and smooth mouthful into a light grain with more emphasis on the cranberries. Just a little fruity and tart, some tannins. I love the lingering tart cranberry finish. Thanks for the hookup Toby!

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Manzanita pint glass From: Whole Foods in Boise, Idaho Price: $8.99 for a mix and match variety 6-pack Purchased: Dec. 19, 2013 Consumed: Dec. 22, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a caramel amber murky color with about three fingers of frothy white head. Sporadic foamy spots of lacing all the way down. Great retention all the way down. Smelled cranberry, raspberry and dark cherry. That’s pretty much it. Tasted much better, in fact it initially reminded me of a sour. Got sour cherries, cranberry, Sweet Tart and raspberry. Really enjoyed it. Light body. Thin texture. Average-to-soft carbonation. Long sour finish. I really enjoyed this beer. Reminded me of a lighter sour.

12oz can thanks to toby for saving me one. Pours out a pink topped with a white head. Nose is malt grain berries and a touch of fruit. Taste is as the nose with a little of the cranberries and a nice grain.

Had this tonight at Whole Foods Boise... Apparently this will see cans shortly. Pours a hazy orangish pink.... good white head with decent lacing. Served too cold, allow this to warm up some to get the fruitiness... The cranberry is a little light IMO.. it shows as a tart cranberry essence on the finish... a good grainy Kolsch supplies the backbone. I will certainly drink some of these when I see them.
