Sockeye IPA dagger falls is a nice copper pour with a fruity citrus aroma. It has a soft pillowy mouthfeel. Very pithy & bitter at first but with a smooth and fruity finish.

Deep ruby-orange hue, clear as a dense fog and capped with sticky white froth. Solid, citrusy aroma -- orange pith, grass, caramel. A very bitter IPA in flavor. Pith and grass are here again...and that’s pretty much it. It’s a biting IPA, snappy as hell. Not a crazy complex IPA, but a well-crafted one.

Can: Pineapple and pine needle nose. Clear amber, thick billowy yellow head, nice lace. Tangerine, pineapple, orange peel, a bit yeasty. Rosehips detected. Medium body, soft carbonation. Really nice flavor.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. can courtesy of Lectvay. Forgotten about can from our trade that really holds up well. Hazy amber with plenty of foamy head. Aroma is pine, hints of citrus and dry straw.
The main base of the beer has a light graininess that leads into a dry bitter pine finish. The bitterness is long lasting with some mild grassy notes as well. Big West Coast like IPA with a Simcoe, Cascade and perhaps Summit variety hops. Very straight forward and classic flavor profile. Solid.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Nose practically non-existent. Flavor not much better. Bitterness but no hop flavor or aroma, little fruit. Malty, not in a good way. Just tastes old. This is an out of market beer we got for a festival. You think they wouldn’t send old ----. You’d be wrong.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I really like this IPA. Hard bitter hops right up front, heavy citrus and light tropical behind it. An upbeat carbonation carries the off-white head through to the end, and gives the medium amber liquid a lively appearance in the glass. The bitter is carried through but is never unpleasant, and although I was expecting to find it too much, I never actually got to that point. The light malts are not enough to tame the bite at the forefront, but perfect for keeping you in the glass.

Can, if I remember correctly, 6/16/14. Pours a hazy orange color with a large frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, herbal, soapy hops, pale malt. The taste is citrus, tropical hops, pale malts. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance had a shaded orange to copper color with a glazed over brownish tints closer to the center of the glass. There was a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing here and there.
The smell had a sharp grapefruit to citrus (slightly tropical and enticing) with a light pine weaving it’s way in the aroma.
The taste was pure bittersweet arranging a nice orange flavoring to come out nicely.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good acceptable sharpness normally tasted in an AIPA coming from the Northwest.
Overall, pretty good AIPA that I would definitely have again.
