Apr 11, 2007 Draft: Pours a chestnut brown with reddish notes. Smaller white head and light lacing. Nose is heavy on the malt with earth tones and caramel. The taste is more malt oriented with a toasty feel, earthiness, and nuts. A sweeter maltier feel overall. Not bad.

Jun 1, 2006 Not bad at all, Medijm bodied, with a thick malty mouthfeel and roasty, kind of on the sweet side, with some honey roasted nuttiness. This goes well with food, but I could see where it would be hard to drink alone.

May 16, 2006 Updated: May 11, 2007On Tap at the BrewPub. Nice deep redish brown with a modest light tan head. Malty, sewwt woody aroma Nice heavy feel, a bit sweet and easy on the hop bitterness. Goes down easy despite its robust body and ABV. Washed down my Chipotle Burger nicely.

Apr 24, 2005 Deep mahogany with a thin filmy head and good lacing. Nose is full of caramel and nuts. Very sweet smelling. Light hops and raisins. Flavor is extremely sweet with a touch of roasted malts. Nutty and earthy. Thick bodied with a sickly sweet finish. As the Bückster said, more hops...
