16 ounce can, just listed as maibock. Pours a dark ruby color with a small white head. A light fruity nose with some caramel. Flavorful: rich ripe fruits, strawberries, some dusty sweet malts, dark caramel and toffee. Earthy dry finish. Good.

Dark maple syrup, light off-white head. Nose of rich malt and earthy hops. The flavor has a massive body with a little sweetness and alcohol presence. Nutty finish with a reinforcement of the large body. Thick drinking (chewy), I could only have a couple of these. Maybe more hops? I don’t know.

16oz can picked up at The Grapevine, labeled as Seasonal Lager Maibock
Pours clear dark amber with a medium sized beige head and lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, toffee and ripe fruit. Flavors of toasted malts, grainy, toffee and nutty with a mild bitterness in the finish
Nice and tasty.

Pours a dark hazy brown color. Aromas of bread, malt, and some fruit. Flavor has a touch of sweet malt and clove, I think. Overall, not to bad.

Not bad at all, Medijm bodied, with a thick malty mouthfeel and roasty, kind of on the sweet side, with some honey roasted nuttiness. This goes well with food, but I could see where it would be hard to drink alone.

Draft: Pours a chestnut brown with reddish notes. Smaller white head and light lacing. Nose is heavy on the malt with earth tones and caramel. The taste is more malt oriented with a toasty feel, earthiness, and nuts. A sweeter maltier feel overall. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2007 On Tap at the BrewPub. Nice deep redish brown with a modest light tan head. Malty, sewwt woody aroma Nice heavy feel, a bit sweet and easy on the hop bitterness. Goes down easy despite its robust body and ABV. Washed down my Chipotle Burger nicely.

Aroma and flavor of nuts, roast grains. Thin head fading to nothing on dark brown body. Taste a bit more bitter than 17 IBUs, was expecting this to be a heller bock, so pleasantly surprised to find it dark.

Pours a deep cherry brown with a thick mocha head. Aroma big on malt, lager yeast, biscuit. Taste is sweet and malty, nice lager yeast presence with a slight hop bite. Nice maibock.
