jake65 (1273), Meridian, Idaho, USA Jul 5, 2008 Tap: Clear golden pour with a large, creamy white head. Plenty of lacing. Nose is mild of dusty florals and a bit of maltiness. Flavor is rather tame with the hops taking the back seat while hints of florals and a light wheaty tone takes over. Another new summer brew that I can’t pass up, but won’t order again.
BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jul 29, 2008 Simple grainy body, with some wheaty cereal malt notes that are kind of toasty on the palate. There is not much to this one. Could use a bit more body and a more pronounced hop profile. BuckeyeBoy (1181), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 15, 2008 On tap at Sockeye pours out a gold topped with a white head. Aroma of grain, malt and light hops. Tast a light grass, some malt with a little hop bitter at the end. skoisirius (480), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 14, 2008 On tap at brewery. Pours a see through golden with little head. Light nose of grass and hops...honestly reminds me of one of those not so good American Lagers. Flavor brings it a bit more proper with a bit of buttery flavored body again mixed with light malt, tender bitter hops, and lots og grass. Bitter end definitely lingers, which is nice. Not my favorite style. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 2, 2008 Draft @ Brewery: Pours a golden color with a puffy white head and nice lacing. The nose is grassy with some light noble hops topped with plenty of husky wheat, raw dough and a light toasty crust. The flavor is initially fairly bitter with a light husk note lapping up the backend and a further pronounced dry mouthfeel and bitter tail. Some floral notes play around but theres too much bitterness and huskiness for my tastes. Then again, I usually detest this style for its flavorless merits but this one actually has something to bite into.
