COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Just as the name implies, this is a light golden ale that is as smooth as velvet. It has a mild hop aroma with a slightly sweet finish. This beer has been nitrongenated to enhance the smooth texture and allow the release of the true flavors.

Perfect cream ale. Hazy golden body with long lasting creamy head. Velvety mouthfeel, slightly sweet aroma and taste. One of their better brews.

Tap at brewery - Not sure what to think about this one. Perfumy hop nose, with hints of citrus fruits. Simple maltiness, with a creamy mouthfeel, light bitterness in the finish. Not sure where they were going with this one, it kind of misses the mark.

Sockeye Brewers Whim Cream Ale 8 3 13 4 7 35 3/7/08 on draught at the brewpub. Aroma is faintly hop dominant, but light in all aromas. Appearance is clear yellow gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is low on sweetness with faint corny malt, although it uses no corn and slightly more dominant noble hop bittering. Mouthfeel is light with medium creaminess and very low carb feel. Overall, simple and easy drinking.

On tap at brewpub pours out a clear straw topped with a cream white head. Nice and sweet. Also pretty thick very nice.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2007 Draft: Re-rate. Color was this pure blonde/golden color with a thick white head that lasts and lasts. Taste is a medium intensity with fruit tones, sweet malt, and very light hop bitters. Very creamy texture coats the mouth well. Better the second time around.

On Tap at brewpub: A clear gold brew with a white, ultra-fizzy head which made for clingy lacing. Pretty, really . . . Aromas of perfume, sweet spices and lotion. I tasted a bit of hops as well as saddle leather. The aftertaste was too fruity for me. But smooth as velvet . . .

IndianaRed (2416) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 8, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2005 On Tap at the brewpub Light golden, slightly hazy with the expected thin but dense "lid" of a head dues to the nitrous. Pale and soft in the aroma and flavor as well. Very light on the hops and while uninspiring, interesting and quafable.

Huge creamy head and wonderous lacing. A pretty good flavor, that reminded me of Boddington's but slightly sweeter. Kind of hoppy and fruity, but nothing overboard.

Yellow orange color with your typical nitrous head and lacing. Slight hops, very floral with citrus present, can't taste much from the nitrous. Flavors had apricot, fresh hops and undiscovered malt again from the nitrous. Creamy and lively, very smooth. This is one of those examples of why you shouldn't put this kind of beer on nitrous. It's almost like they just nitrous charged their pale ale.
