larsniclas (5591) - Billdal, SWEDEN - DEC 14, 2007
Can. Deep amber with an ok, off-white head. Light and pretty artificial aroma; like the fluid your mom used in her hair... Some burnt toffee-maltiness.

(50 cl can, from Systembolaget)
Clear copper color, white head. Fruity and milky scent. Metallic and grainy malty taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Better than I expected.

ekstedt (5404) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 8, 2007
Can (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Deep clear reddish brown with a large off-white head. Weak roasted malt aroma with some faint toffee notes. Light to medium bodied and a bit spritzy, low sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness.

SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - NOV 25, 2007
50cl can on the cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo. Clear light amber, light head. Faint metallic/sweet aroma. A little more caramel flavor than regular Sofiero, but still thin and bland.

jacobwennbom (352) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2007
Pours pale and non-appeticing, spreads an acid aroma. Then there is nothing. This is a week brew, especially for a christmas beer. There are traces of roasted malt in the taste but the most striking feature of Sofiero’s Julöl is it’s thinness. Some might say though, "don’t forget about the boiled vegetables" that strikes you like the overly ripe tomato strikes the lousy entertainer.

ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 20, 2007
Canned. Clear amber colour with a low bubbly white foam. Faint notes of caramel, vegetables, metal and rice with a just a whiff of toasted malts. Bland and lifeless flavour of vegetables, metal and caramel. Mild finish of caramel and metal

Canned. Amber/orange color, ok offwhite head. Sweet sugary aroma and still with that strange and bad folkölfeeling thet these beers keep bringing. Quite mild flavor, kinda clean and not as bad as expected. Still it has a few things that makes me stay away from this beer.
