Skinnyviking (6746) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 18, 2009
Bottle. High and long lasting off-white creamy head. Hazy orange brown body. Alcohol dominated creamy caramel fruit aroma. Flavor very smooth but otherwise, like indicated by the aroma. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste. Too dominated by alcohol.

[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Mild spicy and fruity notes with some yeast, nutty and caramel. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor. Lingering spicy and nutty finish.

JorisPPattyn (7773) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 18, 2008
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Tried as "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel" Head gone in secs, deep red-brown beer. Roasted notes, spicy à souhait , coloured malts. Dry, woody, coloured malts very much to the fore, but very balanced. Medium bodied, dry finish. Interesting, though somewhat light in MF for a dubbel.

Bottle at EBF 20008 (Abbedens Dubbel). Hazy brown with a light orange head. Aroma heavy malty (caramel, roasted, brown sugar, dark fruits, spices), moderate hoppy. Flavor heavy sweet, moderate bitter. Medium body.

Bottled as "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel" (BB 04/2010)
Hazy nut brown color, small steady creamy beige head. Dark fruity - plum - aroma with light grainy notes. Caramelly, plums and kandy sugar. Some alcohol and yeast. A bit raw, propably needs some cellaring.

sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 26, 2008
(Bottled, "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel") Very hazy red-amber with a small head. Aroma of caramely malt, sweet toffee graininess, slight sourness. Sweet, caramely-toffeeish flavor with some grainy-vegetably hints. Medium to full body with medium carbonation. Too sweet and grainy-sugary for me, but otherwise ok.

500ml bottle as Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel, provided by Beer_2000, thanks mate! Murky brown, nice little tanned head. Bubblegum and Belgo-yeast up front, light sweet, light toasted malts to follow. Taste is inviting, has an appropriate sweetness from dark malts and dark dried fruits and a mild and gentle hopbitterness. Well-bodied. Some acidity in the finish. I really like this one.

Bottled. Tasting @ Kolding Bryglaug. (As Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel) Fruity aroma of caramel and raisin malts. Cloudy, orange coloured with an off-white head. Taste is sweet and caramel malty with dried fruitiness. Nice.
