COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear ruby-brown body to a tan-coloured head reduced to a lasting layer. Fragile lacing. Dark malty smell with a touch of chocolate. Dark malty taste with hints of lactose and anise offset by a bite of dark fruits towards a rather short-lived ending. Easy to drink. A stout on the average level (Bergen, 18.09.2012).

On tap at Henrik, Bergen. Has a nearly black colour with a small brown head. Nice aromas of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. The flavour disappoints and feels a bit odd. I taste some cardboard, roasted malt and coffee in the end. An oily moutfeel, and with a medium bitterness. It started so well, but the flavour didn’t follow.

On tap @ Henrik. A deep dark one with a small really quickly fading sidesticking beige head. It smells really really licorice! Almost like sticking your nose inside a Turkish pepper can and inhale all your lungs are good for. Really really licorice strong. But, there is also a faint wet cardboard tone as well. It’s average to soft carbonated and it has a somewhat disappointing near watery texture. Flavors also are strongly filled with licorice as well. I have my suspicious that they might have used a ton of licorice in this one! 25.05.2012

On tap @ Henrik, Bergen. Pours a pretty black body with a small beige head. Nose is filter coffee, herbs, hints of milk chocolate and black berries. Taste is mild licorice and leathery tones, hints of herbs and coffee. Lacks body, especially for a 6,3 % ABV brew. A bit bland, but drinkable.

From Tap at the Bryghus/ The colour of the body is black. It smells a bit roasty, also sour and watery. In the aftertaste I really don´t like it. Not my favourite kind of Stout! -/3/3/3/-/3
