COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Draft at Ølfestival, Århus, 2008. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, and so is the flavor with a dry bitter finish. Standard stout.

500 ml bottle@SBC 2008. Black body with a small beige head. Aroma is like sweet molasses, roasted malt, coffee, liquorices and traces of cooked vegetables. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, bitter, liquorices, coffee and a hint of cigar. Fine balanced body and long bitter, roasted finish. Nice stuff.

Maria (10123) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 4, 2008
Black with a creamy head. The aroma is somehow slightly perfumed with slightly sour, roasted malt notes. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, a roasted bitterness, light fruit, coffee, light smoke and a roasted bitter finish. I like it, but it might be even better if it was a bit more harmonic/less edgy..

Århus2008. From tap, poured by the brewer and with an very detailed description of how it was made - quite interesting. Pours dark to black with a lacing tan head. Solid roasted malt and mild smoke aroma. Flavour is solid roasted and with a distinct smoke note. Oily and tar flavours into the finish. Quite dry and mild note of liqourice. Nice one.
