COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Irish House Ålborg. In association with Søgårds Bryghus we have come together to recreate some traditional Irish recepies. The Irish House Ale has the character of a red brown ale. It has a round and beautiful taste of malt/caramel from special malts, and the Kilkenny golden hops add a characteristic flowery and aromatic scent.

500 ml bottle @ WPBF 2013.
Pours a copper colour with a white head. Aroma of caramel malts, cardboard and grass. Flavour of caramel malts, cardboard, grassy hops and some hay. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and high carbonation. Finish of grassy and grainy. Off-putting.

Tap at The Irish House. Pours cloudy brown redish with a small beige head. Aroma is weak to medium acidy malty caramel toasted raisins. Flavor similar, a bit flat, medium bitterness. Finishes short bitter malty.

Tap @ Henrik. This one pours a blurry copper body with a medium sized light bubbly off-white head. The aroma is subtle and low, I get some tones of caramel and malts, not much more. It has a mild and kind oily to watery texture with a soft to average carbonation level. Flavors are mild and kind also, with an exception of a clear chalky note. I get some roasted caramel, butter dough filled with nuts, a clear fruity tone and a light mouthdrying finish. Not horrible at all as a Irish. 07.05.2012

Aroma has moldy cellar, some malty notes and hints of bread. Flavour has moldy notes, some grain and malty notes. Feels like a lager way too old.

Good and rich malt flavor with lees and a fruity hop bitterness in the finish. This rating is for the Knuthenborg Bryg Ale bottle.
