2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 thewolf (9882) - Kolding, DENMARK - AUG 4, 2007
Bottle, as Fox’ US Pale Ale, at Fox & Hounds Pub in Aabenraa. Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow, bordering on amber. Malty aroma, some bread, caramel and a weak dose of cascade hops. Lightly pricky mouthfeel. Mouthfeel is a little thin and slightly watery. Flavour is initially a little sweet, then turns very dry and hoppy. It just seems more British dry than American dry :o) Too little maltyness to balance the hops.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage. Unclear, golden-orange body and a white head. A bit weak nose, with citrus, wheat and spices. Decent hop-level in the mouth, but it lacks a bit on the maltyness. Medium body and a piney finish. Decent, quaffable beer, a bit weak though. (070512)
