Has a sparkling gold hue and exciting aroma and flavor of malt.

Refreshing but I don’t like the taste and hard to call it a beer. I prefer Corona.

This is a pretty typical cheap Meixcan lager. It actually smells nice but doesn’t taste so great. It is yellow in color w/ a small, white head. It somewhat matches the commercial description of having "an exciting aroma and flavor of malt." The nose does have a noticeable Grape Nuts malt character though it’s definitely on the flabby side and far from exciting. Taste is really rather bland an this is somehow both over-carbonated and watery and mushy all at the same time. There are no real off notes aside from a metallic twinge in the finish that is the only thing that gives me the notion that hops were involved in the creation of this beer. I could chuck some lime in this and chug it ice cold but, frankly, I could do that w/ a lot of things.

Bottle from Asian shop in Bratislava. Golden color with medium white head. Unpleasant malty aroma with some sourness, earthy notes. taste, corn, malt, apples, some sourness in finish.

I'm learning that these cheaper corn/adjunct Mexican/Corona style beers are not truly the best beer to have at the beach, despite all the advertising to the contrary. This is just a watery and corny/grainy macro pale lager, usually lightstruck from the glass bottles. More economical than corona, and does have some inconsistent faint lemon/ fruity notes, but that may be more by accident than brewing skill. This one doesn't even come across as refreshing, finishes with a sour grainy flavor on the palate. If Sol is the only beer on hand than you're SOL (pun) !

Flaska från SB. Pissgul med lite vitt skum. Doftar bröd och metall. Smakar sött med ingen beska. Blask helt enkelt

Bottle at the neighbors - hey, our power was out ... Very pale yellow pour. Aroma has light lemon and some sweet (fruit?), just quite thin. Taste is thin; light lemon, somewhat skunky. Shrug? Trying for Corona, and it may have gotten there ... Not undrinkable.

@ Röhällavägen. Bottle (330 ml) from Systembolaget (15:-). Corn and maybe some light light fruity notes, some sweetness, almost no bitterness at all, extremely light and watery. Not good.

A slightly inferior copy of Corona. No good beer, but doesn’t taste bad by any means.

Sol pours medium golden and clear. Aroma is grainy. Taste is rather light, grains and corn.
