Bottle in Madrid. Aroma of canned corn, color of well, as my five year old would say, pee. The beer was light and watery with a chemical aftertaste. Just plan boring.

Weak straw coloured waterish brew made as an inexpensive thist quencher for the geneal Mexican and a lot of those visiting the country. Aroma is very much nothing. Flavour weak, bit maltish and with some rice-like end. Best well cooled, great chuck-it-dowm-beer!

yes this beer is lacking in all departments, but it ain’t that bad at all... it is one of the better mexican beers, ...lower better beers....ok its bad but better than carta blanca and that other cheap crappy one.

I agree with others that give it a slight bump with Mexican food that covers a bit of the off taste of this beer. Thin and refreshing, don’t let it warm up too much. We had this one in Veracruz, Mexico.

12 oz. bottle. This is a beer that pairs very well with spicy Mexican food. If I were having this beer by itself, I definitely would have rated it lower. Pours a pale crystal clear yellow/gold with a thin white head. Very light aroma of malt. Flavor is lightly touched with sweet malt. Thin body, but again, very refreshing when putting out the fire of a spicy Mexican meal. If given the coice between this brew and a Corona, I would pick Sol quite easily.

Tap/bottle/can. Refreshing beer on a Mexican hot day. Sold up and down the Mayan coast. Closer to Corona than Modelo. Like all Mexican beer it’s better w/out lime.

Cold 12oz bottle at La Caretta: Pours a clear golden color with a very little amount of ivory bubbles. Aroma and taste are of sweet malts, grass and citrus. Crisp and refreshing. Thin body and good carbonation. Usually served with a lime wedge.

I have a special love for Mexico in general, which includes especially its equisite food and light beer, as well as its culture, history, language and movies, to name a few things. Sol is not an exception, especially accompanied with Mexican tasty and spicy food, it’s just about the best there is. :)
