Has a sparkling gold hue and exciting aroma and flavor of malt.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 120. This bottled brew was sampled at Dusseldorf's restaurant in Fort Myers Beach Florida. This brew poured a head with mostly diminishing fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that left behind a transparent urine yellow colored softly carbonated body and no lace. The aroma was mildly skunked with malt and hop notes. The mouthfeel was thin and rice beer like and the flavor was mild with rice malt and hops.

Corona is much better than this beer. Corona at least has a little flavor to it. This just tastes like 7up, and that was only when I put the lime in it.

I agree 100% with the rater below me - I can't tell the difference either! However, I am not quite as opposed to the refreshing style of Mexican lager. With a bit of lime stuck down the neck, this ends up being a palatable drink. The acidity of the lime works well with the solid fizziness of Sol (and the the rest) and acts like a kind of fruity shandy. It's OK.

I really can't tell the difference between a Sol and a Corona. No colour, no aroma and no taste. Drink water instead, it's cheaper and better for you!!!

This one is just like most of the other Mexican beers I tried on a recent trip. Very light and lacking in aroma, flavor, etc. Didn't complain when sailing on a boat in the pacific but won't be seeking this one out anytime soon.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2004 Pale yellow color, tiny head. Some corn aroma when pouring, but almost nothing when in glass. Well, at least it doesn't smell bad. Sweetish, corny flavor. Very light-bodied, quite watery and carbonated palate. Ok along with spicy Mexican food - definitely not for beer tasting. Bottled corn-boiling water. It says "Please don't drink and drive" in the bottle. I'd leave off the last two words.

Quite stale, with no aroma, taste and body. Bad aftertaste will stay for a while.

Corona's poor cousin. It tries hard to be as light and tasty as corona but doesn't quite make it. A light flavour and good colour make for easy drinking on a hot day but nothing too special.

I was very impressed with this beer. Like Corona though, it's not complete without a lime. Get one whole lime for a six pack. I like this better than Corona, and made a great impression on me. The packaging is quite appealing too.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2003 Geez. This is a little better than Corona, I guess. Tastes very adjunctly like rice or corn etc. No hops, very watery. Another notch on my world beer appreciation staff.
