A one-off experiment to harmonize with the flavor profile of Banoffee pie, as made by Logan Square pub Owen & Engine in the original style. One keg at our taproom, then one keg there. Banana aroma from German hefeweizen yeast esters, toffee and graham cracker finish. Made with ceylon cinnamon, vanilla bean, roasted cocoa nibs,and honey.

Enjoyed on tap at Owen & Engine in Chicago, IL while eating some food with friends. I thought this one was especially good. Appearance is a cloudy gold with a rich white head, much like a Hefeweizen. Aroma of banana and surprisingly light toffee / sweet chocolate which was surprising. Taste goes down with a light sweetness from the chocolate, mixed with banana, finishes a bit dry. For a wheat ale this is exceptional.
