At the brewery, Man reading the description I was excited. Sounds like how I describe some of the best (I)IPAs out there. Well I get the beer and Im not getting the citrius hop bomb im expecting. Much more subdued, with a bad beer stink to it. Slightly bitter on the back end. Maybe I’m spolied since I drink Zombie dust on a regular basis, but this doesnt live up to any expectations or hype. I’ve had worse IPAs, but either the bottle was old or the date was unknown, for a brewery fresh IPA, this is at the bottom of my list.

I recently had this at Arrowhead Country Club in Wheaton, IL. This is my kind of IPA, sweet citrus aroma, smooth extra hoppy taste, nice crisp bite of after taste.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 kaser (1005) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Had this on draft and Galloway Arms. Cloudy light and foggy orange pour. Sticky white head. Super fruity taste and aroma. Orange and lemon. Has good hops too. My wheelhouse. Great beer
3.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jstraw (1654) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Draft at Jerry’s. Light orange with good, foamy, white head / Fruity, creamy nose of orange, pineapple, weed, pine, cream / Medium body, a hint watery, some astringency, with lots of bitterness on finish / Somewhat thin, very bitter flavors of orange peel, grapefruit, pine / The thin body and high astringency are a let down after the spectacular nose. A disappointing effort, but it happens, for this stellar new brewer.

Cloudy with an ester rich aroma. Fruity at first. Evolves into something without too much malt, which I love, but there's a thin hop finish which in this case could possibly have been improved by the addition of some extra malt. Not un-bitter, but not too gracious on the a.a. either.

An above average IPA’S by my standards though it does pack a strong bite as advertised. I would not recommend to those who don’t like beers with an edge; the flavor has a pleasant citrus flavor though this particular beer does not fit my personal tastes overall, it’s worthy of consideration.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Treebs (733) - , Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Enjoyed on tap at the Solemn Oath beer dinner at Wild Monk. Served in a snifter.
A: Pours a slightly hazy apricot color with a fluffy white head forming on the pour. It receded to a thin ring that left some splotchy lace down the glass.
S: Citrus fruit and big tropical fruit influences going on. Pineapple and mango mostly with a nice citrus zest as well. Very light sweetness from the malts hits you on the end, but it’s a hop bomb.
T: The taste is more of the same. Pineapple and mango with a small smidge of grapefruit. Slightly sweet cracker malts with a pithy bitterness on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with a nice medium carbonation level. Smooth with a clean finish.
O: The galaxy hops were a nice addition and added a wonderful tropical fruit aroma to the beer. I will definitely be having this again whenever I’m able to find it.
