Sample at Standard Market. Amber IPA color, but clearer. Thin head in a ring around the edge. My taste was too small in the tiny glass to get much of a sniff. Taste is not as hoppy as, say, Bigfoot, Focused more on the crystal roast malts, which let the alcohol come in and warm me up.

Bottle, shared at game night. Tawny orange-amber, low light gold head. Sweet fruity toffee aroma with boozy undertones. Toffee, red licorice, candied orange, hot alcohol comes in late. I liked it, but itís pretty boozy and sweet.

Really bready, lots of yeast and booze. Perhaps some Belgian spice. Red amber coloration. Not much head at all. This tastes a lot like whiskey. No head no carbonation. For a barley wine, I like it. Very syrupy.

Bottle. Mostly clear mahogany hue with a dense head of tan fuzz. Aromaís very nice: toffee, raisins, maple, milk chocolate. Sugary. Bitterness balances the sugars in the flavor, which displays notes of grapefruit peel, brandy, oranges and molasses before a toasted rye finish. Silky medium-light body; soft tingly CO2.

Thanks to Joel for the bomber! Poured a lovely shade of clear, fiery orange with a sticky beige head. The aroma picked up sweet caramel and honey with accents of cinnamon and medium-skinned fruits. The flavor found similar malts at the core, picking up some tasty orange meat.. bitter fruity notes and spices around.. finished spicy with some tasty residual sugars and belly warmth. Medium-plus bodied with a good feel and flow through the palate.. spicy and engaging.. great brew!

650ml bottle. Amber pour. This smells really amateurish. Acetone and just a grimey first homebrew type aroma. Flavor is better but very bland and non deScript for a barleywine. It is mostly malt forward with some vinousness, malt liquor, caramel, toasted grain, and some spice. Glad it was in the discount bin (as it should be).

From a bomber, this pours a nice dirty orange with a small beige head that goes bye bye in a hurry, nice lacing. Candy aroma, taste of dark fruit and candy, itís a bit sweet. Personally, Iím undecided on Barleywines, but this worked for me, no complaints.

Bomber. Getting ready for Game 7 (Rangers vs. Caps). Pours a hazy, deep amber brown. Medium off-white head, not much retention or lacking. Nose is caramel, dates, candied orange. Mouth is medium bodied, only slightly sweet for a barley wine, mouth is like the nose. Some bitterness to round it out with a touch of old pennies. Meh. Pretty uninspired but íll drink it anyway. Too distracted for rating beers anyway. LETíS GO RANGERS !!!

Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Thin malts, touch of bitter toffee. Savoury bitterness in the mid. Trace of dry cream. Mild marmalade. Little spice and mild aniseed. Finishes semi dry and with juicy peel. Mild bitter linger. Not bad at all and drinks under itís abv, but lacks the malt backbone to make it great.

Scents of malts with a touch of sweetness. Good medium copper brown with some foam. I let the beer sit for about 20 minutes to acclimate which really helps beers of this type so as to get all of flavor out. I experienced rich flavor of malt, a bit of cinnamon, spice, a touch of sweet but not too much which is perfect for me. The palate is really nice. Overall, I would definitely get this beer again.

Bottle at Jamesí house for the End of History tasting. Pours a lightly hazed amber with a thin white head. Soft sweetness and malt on the nose. Medium bodied, sticky malt and toast, sweet with a touch of bitterness. Lingering bitterness over sweet sticky malt.
