(ultra-high-frequency) This ruby colered American Red Ale is medium bodied and rich with toasted caramel malt flavors dominated by aggressive citrusy hops.

Bottle at home. Gift from Rich. Aroma is piney and caramel. Full bodied. Piney, bitter hops. Decent balance. Pretty straightforward flavor profile. Not much complexity.

22oz bomber. Piney amber malt aroma. Doughy, bright body. Specialty malts all the way, but they work. Cherry malt tones. Pretty solid for the style.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2015 Sampled at a beer event. Too much caramel, not fully attenuated, unbalanced. Uninspired. And If you’re drunk/retarded, I mean it’s fucking lame. Just another glorified home brew from the most overrated brewer in Windy City Distro’s wank-assed portfolio. It’s like they’re pussy-whipped on these guys. Seriously. Shit is fucking weak.

Bottle poured into my favorite rhinelander beer shaker. Pours a dark, hazy red with a half finger of khaki head. Aroma of caramel with citrus and slightly herbal hops. Taste is heavily bitter. Follows aroma with an emphasis on the hops. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a super long, resinous finish. Very good. I would love to explore more from these guys.

It was highly carbed beer. Had a nice ruby hue to it. The aroma is lacking. Very malt forward with a light citrus resinous smell. The taste is malty with a faint bit of citrus. It finished with a burnt toast, alloy like taste. Displeasing mouthfeel, drying parched fell. Almost like having cotton mouth.

Bottle @ home. Deep amber pour with a huge khaki head and great retention. Smells a lot like caramel and lemon peel. Some flowers and pine, I guess. Very perfumey. A lot of toffee as well. Flavor has a heavy dose of sweet, sugary malts. Big time toffee, butterscotch, and caramel. Some green apple, perfume, flowers, and lemon peel. A bit of lemon, orange, and grass. Meh.

Bottle. Pours reddish amber with off white head. Nose/taste of resin, caramel, citrus, toasted malt and burnt grass. Medium body.

Bomber from Binny’s in Buffalo Grove, cellared for 2 months. Pours a reddish amber with an off-orange head. Some streaks of lace. Aroma has sweet caramelly malts and pine and citrus, with some toasty-ness. Taste is of sweet fruits, pine, light caramel, some biscuity malt and toasty bready yeast. Medium to full bodied and a touch grainy. Finishes sweetly fruity with piney/grainy length. This has all the components of an American Strong (strongly fruity hoppy with non-sweet malts), although - unfortunately - is not of great quality. 13.8

Bottle shared by beerpig317. Mildly hazy red color. Thin off-white head. Nice citrusy tropical fruity hop aroma. Light caramel / crystal malt. Bigger bitter taste, little sweet. More dry finish. Solid red IPA!

This one is decent for a red ale. Malty and hoppy and easy to drink. Pours deep red in cor and smells hoppy. Had this one at dryhop ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
