Tap @ Haymarket with TheAlum. Pours a somewhat hazy, dark orange appearance with an off white head. Quite sweet caramel, toffee, a bit cloying aroma. Lightly fruity, quite strongly sweet caramel, citrusy, a bit herbal, fairly strong flavor. Alright.

Taste at Buffalo Wings & Rings-Pours an amber with a small white ring. Aroma of malt, caramel, and toffee. Taste of the same with more caramel. This medium bodied brew is darn tasty.

Draft at Jerry?s SO event. Hazy orange-amber with good, foamy, beige head, some lacing / Lightly sour nose of brown sugar, sour malt, citrus / Medium body, creamy, some chew, lightly sour, malty yet dry with fine balance and bitter finish / Flavors of sour malt, biscuit, brown sugar, turning grapefruit & orange rind / Not the traditional amber, but quite interesting and on point for the summer.

Pours a hazy reddish brown with thin khaki head that dissipates to leave light lacing. Aroma of caramel, toffee, scotchy malts, and piney hops. Taste follows, slightly bitter with a hint if sweetness. Pretty damn good.

Sampled at the brewery. Red orange color with a thin beige head. Pine hops caramel notes and a bit of mold (I'm not sure if it's in the lines or beer). Bitter caramel red fruit grassy bitterness. Ok. 5/4/7/3/14 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at map room. Pours a deep amber with a small quickly fading white head. Aroma is mostly malt, biscuit, sweet caramel, toffee, nutty, a touch of some citrus. Flavor starts sweet, actually a touch of fruitiness, a bit of a peachy note that quickly fades into a more standard bready and biscuit character. Finishes with a bit of bitterness and some grapefruit that lingers for a short period. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Nice maltier version of an american red

Draft at Bavarian Lodge, May 19 for CCBW. I got here at 9 p.m. of the debut S.O. tapping, and was told the Khloros was already empty. "What’s the nexy keg closest to kicking next?" The uhf, I was told. And sure enough, while drinking this, they did unscrew the handle from the tap. The beer: more of a brown color in this tulip in a dark bar. Thin layer of naturally carbonated foam. Big American hop nose, grapefruitty and catty. Taste socks in more of those aggressive hops. Taste includes some green hops and extra bitterness. Big hoppy finish, but enough caramel malt to put up a struggle at the end.

Flight on tap at the brewery (Naperville, IL). Pours a rich deep ruby copper hue, some deep firm colors and gentle haze in the body. Striking chestnut glowing hue, with a big cakey offwhite head atop. Dies to a firm film with good legs and lacing overall. Aromas are rich play between citrusy American hops, lemons and florals meet some grapefruit and a distinct carmelized malt and bit of toffee sweetness. Gentle toast, crisp sticky malts still stay more on the carmelized end, touch of nuttiness. Initial is medium bodied, perhaps a touch heavier with firm oranges and grapefruits, a stickier girthy element on the palate. Fresher moderate dry hopping gives some good dryness, firm malty sticky elements of toffee, carmelized malts, toast. Good contrast between the two elements, not too sweet or girthy overall. Firm floral and grapefruit elements dance throughout the experience. Good contrast, firm dry hop elements with still that sticky girthy body. A solid brew (Though usually not my style).
