Black in color with a small khaki head. Nose opens with roasted malt, coffee, and a slight smokiness. A weird prune aroma and some acidity. A bit of alcohol, too. Tastes of roast, ash, and char. Somewhat smokey, a decent of coffee, dark chocolate, and prunes. Kind of alcoholic and astringent, too.

Tap @ the brewcompany as "Odin’s Stout" 7.0% abv. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich licorice roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Nice dry finish.

Appearance: Pours a dark, reddish brown with a creamy tan film of head. Aroma: Chocolaty roast and grassy hops. Taste: Dry chocolaty roast, spicy hops and toasted grain. Mouthfeel: Very thin, medium carbonation. Overall: Nothing at all like a 7.3% Oatmeal Stout, but rather a dry irish stout. The best beer Solvang makes.
